"Fred Figglehorn"), one of the most popular internet characters of all time, will land on Nickelodeon in his first-ever film, Fred: The Movie, premiering Friday, Sept. 17, at 8:00 P.M. (ET/PT). Similar to real-life teenager Lucas Cruikshank's fast-talking, hyperactive videos that have received upwards of 530 million views, the film will center on Fred's biggest adventure yet in trying to win over his unrequited love, Judy.

- The Hub Adds “Clue” to List of Original Series
August 6, 2010 | CLUE, the iconic family-favorite board game, will come to The Hub as an original, half-hour live-action series, it was announced today by Margaret Loesch, President and CEO of the new network for kids and their families, which launches October 10 (10-10-10). The series, which will feature a youthful, ensemble cast (to be announced) working together to uncover clues and unravel mysteries, will be produced by Hasbro Studios.

The hour telecast on Monday is now the Emmy-winning animated series’ No. 2 telecast of all time on Disney XD in Total Viewers, Kids 6-14 (677,000/1.9 rating), Boys 6-14 (435,000/2.3 rating), Kids 6-11 (542,000/2.2 rating), Boys 6-11 and Boys 9-14 (235,000/1.9 rating), behind only December 2009’s “Christmas Vacation.”

- Nickelodeon Names Keith Dawkins Senior Vice President, General Manager of Nicktoons and TeenNick
August 4, 2010 | Nickelodeon has named Keith Dawkins Senior Vice President, General Manager of Nicktoons and TeenNick. In his newly expanded role, Dawkins will add oversight of TeenNick, Nickelodeon’s 24-hour network for teens, to his current role as GM of Nicktoons. Dawkins will run the day-to-day operations for the teen network, including the on-air programming, scheduling and marketing, and will work with MTV Networks’ Affiliate Sales organization on the channel’s distribution rollout. The announcement was made today by Sarah Levy, Chief Operating Officer, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group, to whom he will continue to report.
- Production Has Begun On A New Disney Channel Original Movie, “Lemonade Mouth”
August 4, 2010 | Production has begun in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on the music-driven “Lemonade Mouth,” a Disney Channel Original Movie that tells kids and tweens that building your confidence rocks and finding your destiny rules. The story follows five disparate high school students who meet in detention, realize they are destined to rock, and ultimately form a band that becomes a champion for students sidelined by the high school elite. The blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise has produced basic cable’s #1 movie with Kids 6-11 and/or Tweens from 2002-09.
