October 9, 2012 | For the week of October 1, 2012, Disney Channel ranked as the #1 cable TV network in Total Day in Total Viewers (1.51 million), extended its record-streak as the #1 TV network to 69 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (566,000/2.4 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (461,000/1.9 rating), and was the #1 TV network for the 3rd time in the previous 4 weeks in Kids 2-11 (848,000/2.1 rating).

- Cartoon Network Announces New Warner Bros. Animation Series “The Tom and Jerry Show”
October 8, 2012 | One of the world’s most beloved cartoon duos returns to television in The Tom and Jerry Show, a fresh take on the classic frenemies coming soon to Cartoon Network. Comprised of two 11-minute shorts, each episode will feature Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse plotting against each other—with Tom’s determination matched only by Jerry’s own cleverness in evading capture. But this time the cartoon mayhem will not be limited to only Tom and Jerry’s traditional suburban setting. In The Tom and Jerry Show, the title characters’ nonstop game of cat and mouse will expand to also include more fantastic worlds, from a medieval castle to a mad scientist’s lab.

October 3, 2012 | Fresh from its recent Primetime Emmy® win for “Outstanding Short-Format Animated Program,” Cartoon Network’s original series Regular Show returned Monday night, Oct. 1 (8 p.m.) with its fourth season, scoring its best performance in its history, ranking as the #1 telecast of the day among all targeted kids and boys ages 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14, according to Nielsen Media Research. The hit animated comedy from first-time show creator JG Quintel earned significant ratings and delivery growth, ranging between 2% and 31%, vs. the same time period last year. Regular Show also out-paced all kids television competition by double and triple digits ranging between 14% and 600%, and propelled Cartoon Network’s entire Monday night prime time (7-9 p.m.) line-up of animated comedies to #1 on all television among boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14. Additionally, Regular Show attracted more than three million viewers 2+, up a remarkable 37% vs. the same time period last year.
