November 6, 2012 | For the week of October 29, 2012, Disney Channel once again emerged as the TV destination for kids and Tweens, extending its record-streak as the #1 Total Day TV network to 73 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (569,000/2.4 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (484,000/2.0 rating), surpassing Nickelodeon by double digits for a respective 52nd (+32%, vs. 430,000) and 54th (+55%, vs. 313,000) consecutive week.

November 6, 2012 | Earning solid across-the-board delivery growth in Total Day and Early Prime the first week of November, Cartoon Network ranked as basic cable’s #1 network for Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, and as the #1 network for Total Day (Mon-Sun, 6 a.m.-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 6-11 & 9-14. Compared to the same time period in 2011, Early Prime average kids 2-11 delivery grew by 14%, kids 6-11 by 10% and kids 9-14 by 8%. In Total Day, average kids 2-11 delivery grew by 8%, kids 2-11 by 8% and kids 9-14 by 10%.
- Disney XD Renews “Kickin’ It” For Third Season
November 5, 2012 | Disney XD kicks into high gear and orders a third season of the top-rated comedy series "Kickin' It," it was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. Season Three of the popular series will follow the crew of lovable misfits at Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy as they embark on new adventures outside the dojo. Production resumes in Hollywood in January.
- UPDATED: “Boy Meets World” Spin-Off Being Developed at Disney Channel
November 3, 2012 | Disney Channel is working on development for a spin-off from the 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World, currently titled Girl Meets World. The series would follow Cory and Topanga’s daughter. The network is trying to get Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, the original actors for the roles, to return.
- Cartoon Network Renews “Regular Show” and “Gumball,” Extends Order for “Annoying Orange”
November 1, 2012 | Today, Cartoon Network announced that they have renewed Regular Show for a fifth season (the show just premiered its fourth) and The Amazing World of Gumball for a third (its in the second now). The network has also ordered additional episodes of Annoying Orange for this season, its first.
- Season Three of “Dan Vs.” Premieres November 17
November 1, 2012 | The Hub TV Network, one of the fastest growing basic cable networks year-to-date, will premiere the third season of the half-hour animated series "Dan Vs." Saturday, November 17, 4 p.m. ET. The season will include 13 new episodes featuring the outspoken Dan (Curtis Armstrong, Revenge of the Nerds), a lovable curmudgeon on a misguided quest for justice that leads him and his pals Chris (Dave Foley, "The Kids in the Hall") and Elise (Paget Brewster, "Criminal Minds") into misadventures and catastrophes.
- “It’s A SpongeBob Christmas!” Will Make Its Nickelodeon Premiere on December 9
October 31, 2012 | Nickelodeon celebrates the holidays with its first full-length stop-motion animated special, It’s A SpongeBob Christmas!, premiering on Nickelodeon Sunday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT), following its CBS television premiere (11/23). It’s A SpongeBob Christmas! was inspired by the classic Rankin/Bass specials (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town) and the popular SpongeBob song released in 2009, “Don’t Be a Jerk (It’s Christmas),”co-written by Tom Kenny (voice of SpongeBob) and Andy Paley. The half-hour special features John Goodman as Santa Claus.
- “Fanboy & Chum Chum” Get Slimed – Literally!
October 31, 2012 | I’m not a big fan of Fanboy & Chum Chum but I’m glad I tuned in Tuesday. I only did so because I’ve been recording all the new episodes that have been airing weekday mornings (at 7am) on Nickelodeon. Yes, they’re burning off the remaining episodes of the show, if you (likely) didn’t know. Why record them if I don’t like the show?

October 30, 2012 | October 2012 ranked as Disney XD’s #1 most-watched month in Prime in the network’s history (includes its 10 years as Toon Disney) in Boys 6-14 (165,000), Tweens 9-14 (193,000) and Boys 9-14 (117,000), its #2 most-watched month ever in Kids 6-14 (274,000) and Kids 6-11 (213,000), and recorded October-highs in Total Viewers (431,000) and Kids 2-11 (266,000), bolstered by strong performances of original live-action series “Kickin’ It” and “Lab Rats,” Marvel animated series “Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes” and “Ultimate Spider-Man,” along with the series launch of “Crash & Bernstein.”
