March 9, 2011 | Nickelodeon notched another weekly ratings win as basic cable's number-one total day network with total viewers (2.1 million) and kids 2-11 (3.3/1.2 million). The net's win was driven by solid ratings performances by SpongeBob SquarePants, which continues its 11-year reign as the number-one program with kids 2-11, and the Nick's latest preschool hit Bubble Guppies, which currently ranks as the top preschool show on all TV for year to date.
- Wall Street Journal Posts First Image of Lead Character from Nick’s “Legend of Korra”
March 6, 2011 | The Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy has posted the first look at the lead character Korra from Nickelodeon’s follow-up of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. The article says that the series is now going by the name of The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra and is now scheduled to premiere “next year”.

Nick News with Linda Ellerbee asked kids what they lied about, then kids went online to rank their lies in the half-hour special, “Lies We Tell in Middle School,” premiering Sunday, March 6, at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. February 24, 2011 | Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush gave viewers some much–needed spring break fun, as the "Big Time Beach Party" Presidents' Day special (Monday, Feb. 21, 8-9 p.m., ET/PT) ranked as Monday's number-one show on broadcast and basic cable with kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14 and topped basic cable in the time period with total viewers (4.3 million). Guest-starring Russell Brand (Get Him to the Greek, Hop and Arthur), "Big Time Beach Party" increased Nick's prior-year time period levels by triple digits across the board and handily bested competitively scheduled programming with high double-digit gains in every target demo.

The net’s weekly win was fueled by strong performances from Nick’s hit series SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly. A new episode of SpongeBob SquarePants on Saturday morning (Feb. 12, 9:30 a.m. ET/PT) “You Don’t Know Sponge” scored 5 million total viewers and ranks as the week’s top program with kids 2-11 and kids 6-11. An iCarly Saturday night premiere “iHire an Idiot” (Feb. 12, 8 p.m. ET/PT), drew 4.9 million viewers and nabbed the week’s number-one live-action program with kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14.
