- “Figure It Out” Returns With New Season on Monday, October 15
October 4, 2012 | Nickelodeon's popular game show Figure it Out returns to the network with 30 all-new episodes of unique hidden talents, celebrity panelists and slime beginning Monday, October 15, at 7p.m. (ET/PT). Since its 2012 reboot, Figure it Out ranks as the top program in its time slot with tweens 9-14 across all TV and averaging 2.1 million total viewers. Season two will feature celebrity panelists Cody Simpson, Tony Hawk, Rachel Crow, Metta World, Candace Parker, Noah Munck and Ariana Grande as they try to guess the rare and secret talents of everyday kids. October 3, 2012 | Nickelodeon’s new fall “Gotta See Saturdays” programming gets into full swing starting on Saturday, October 13. In the morning, new episodes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Robot and Monster and Power Rangers Samurai will air from 11am-1:30pm. At night, new iCarly, VICTORiOUS, Big Time Rush and How to Rock will air from 8-10pm. No sign of the video series You Gotta See This (for which the block seems to be named after) on any night.
- Nickelodeon Announces Cast for New Original TV Movie “Swindle”
October 2, 2012 | Kids' will have a chance to see all their favorite Nickelodeon stars together for the first time in the original TV movie, Swindle. Jennette McCurdy (iCarly), Noah Crawford (How to Rock, You Gotta See This) and Noah Munck (iCarly) will team up with Ariana Grande (Victorious), Chris O'Neal (How to Rock, You Gotta See This) and Ciara Bravo (Big Time Rush) in this original comedy caper. Based on a popular children's book by Gordon Korman, production is slated for October 2012 in Vancouver, Canada.
- Nick’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Scores 3.9 Million Viewers, Tops Kid Demos; Orders 2nd Season
October 2, 2012 | Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello – aka the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – made a triumphant return to television in their new Nickelodeon series premiere this weekend (Saturday, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m., ET/PT), ranking as the week’s top telecast with kids 2-11 (6.2/2.1 million) and boys 6-11 (8.2/837,000) across broadcast and cable TV, and the number-one kids program on basic cable with total viewers (drawing 3.9 million) for the week. Additionally, the new CG-animated version of the series hit a ratings high for Nickelodeon with boys 2-11 (7.5/1.3 million), and was the network’s top-rated premiere for an animated series since 2009. During its premiere weekend the series reached nearly 12 million total viewers.

- Saban Brands Acquires “Digimon” Brand, Including New “Digimon Fusion” Season
September 25, 2012 | Saban Brands has acquired the Digimon
franchise, adding the long-running Japanese anime property to its growing portfolio of
entertainment assets. The acquisition, which encompasses rights to the property
outside of Asia, continues Saban Brands’ dramatic growth since reacquiring the Power
Rangers property and purchasing lifestyle brand Paul Frank in 2010, amongst others.
Saban Brands will work with MarVista Entertainment for distribution of the series
outside of Asia. Japanese animation studio, Toei Animation Co., Ltd. will handle
licensing and distribution of the property in Asia.

September 18, 2012 | Nick at Nite will premiere its brand-new live-action family comedy executive produced by and starring Scott Baio, See Dad Run on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 8p.m. (ET/PT). A multi-camera scripted half-hour, the series follows David Hobbs (Baio) an actor who, after ten years of starring as America's favorite TV dad, becomes a stay-at-home father while his soap star wife (Alanna Ubach, Legally Blonde) makes her return to the limelight. Mark Curry (Hangin' with Mr. Cooper) also stars as David's friend, Marcus. Nick at Nite will air the pilot of See Dad Runon Saturday, Oct. 6 at 9p.m. (ET/PT), with the series airing regularly on Sundays at 8p.m. (ET/PT).
