- Nickelodeon’s Stars Light Up the 84th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
November 8, 2010 | Some of Nickelodeon's most popular stars will participate in the 84th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade® on Thursday, Nov. 25. iCarly star and teen sensation Miranda Cosgrove, one of the voices featured in the animated blockbuster hit film, Despicable Me, will make a special appearance on the Statue of Liberty Float with her co-stars the Minions. Big Time Rush, whose debut album entered the Billboard 200 at #3, will perform live at the Parade on Hess's Bridge to the Future float. Victoria Justice, star of Victorious, will perform on the Build-A-Bear Workshop®'s International Cele-bear-ation Clock Tower float. An all-new Dora the Explorer float inspired by the Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure television special, will be unveiled at the Parade and will feature a performance by India.Arie. SpongeBob SquarePants will make his sixth appearance as the only "square" balloon. The Samurai Power Rangers, whose new series is scheduled to air on Nickelodeon early next year, will make their first public appearance when they walk with the Planet Earth balloon. Additionally, Po the Panda, star of DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: DWA) hit feature film Kung Fu Panda, will make his balloon debut at the Parade.

November 5, 2010 | Tori and the Hollywood Arts gang find themselves battling it out for the karaoke crown in Nickelodeon’s first-ever hour-long Victorious special, "Freak the Freak Out," premiering Friday, Nov. 26, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). "Freak the Freak Out" features two new songs: the title track featuring a performance by Victoria Justice; and "Give It Up" featuring a performance by co-stars Elizabeth Gillies and Ariana Grande. The song "Freak the Freak Out" will be available for sale on iTunes, Tuesday, Nov. 23. Nickelodeon will give Victorious fans an additional treat on Saturday, Nov. 27, with a never-before-seen inside look at the life of Justice in 7 Secrets: Victoria Justice premiering at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

November 2, 2010 | Nickelodeon closes October as basic cable’s number-one total day network with kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and total viewers and posted its most-watched October ever with viewers P2+. According to Nielsen Media Research (9/27/10-10/31/10), Nickelodeon averaged 2.1 million total viewers, and a 3.2/1.1 million kids 2-11 and 2.8/608,000 with kids 6-11 for the month.

October 26, 2010 | Nickelodeon notched another ratings win with the premiere of The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, 8 p.m. ET/PT), a teen comedy with a sci-fi twist, starring Victoria Justice (Victorious) in her first-ever headlining TV movie role and Brooke Shields (Lipstick Jungle) as a stern Romanian housekeeper. The two-hour Halloween-themed movie ranked as basic cable’s top telecast for the night, drawing 5.8 million total viewers, and topped broadcast and basic cable with kids and tweens for the week, posting high triple-digit gains with all key demos, and averaging a 10.5/2.3 million K6-11 (+163%), 9.3/2.0 million T9-14 (+182%) and 8.2/2.9 million K2-11 (+165%).
