- Nickelodeon Ratings Highlights for December 10 – 16, 2012
December 18, 2012 | Nickelodeon notched another winning week with the premiere of the brand-new “Peter Rabbit’s Christmas Tale,” which drew 3 million total viewers and ranks as the top preschool telecast for the week. Peter Rabbit also was the highest-rated show among both preschoolers and kids 2-11 across all TV in the time period. Additionally, SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) took the top spots with K2-11, respectively, and rank as the top two animated series with K6-11 this week. Victorious was the week’s number-one telecast with T9-14.
- “House of Anubis” Season Three Premieres Thursday, January 3 on Nickelodeon
December 13, 2012 | Nickelodeon's suspense-filled series, House of Anubis, returns for season three with an hour-long episode premiering Thursday, Jan. 3, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). House of Anubis follows a group of students who uncover and solve hidden mysteries at an English boarding school while dealing with the highs and lows of their teenage years. In season three, the Sibuna gang returns to Anubis House with new leader Eddie (Burkely Duffield) as the Osirian. It's up to the Sibunas to untangle the mysteries and stop the adults from unleashing an evil so great it will destroy the world and everyone in it. The new season will feature returning favorite characters and also introduce new faces including KT (Alexandra Shipp), a sunny and tenacious American girl who becomes a vital part of the Sibuna gang, and Willow (Louisa Connelly-Burnham), a bright and quirky student from another boarding house.

December 11, 2012 | Nickelodeon rang in the holiday cheer this weekend with the original It’s a SpongeBob Christmas! special (Saturday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m. ET/PT), which drew 4.8 million total viewers. Nickelodeon’s first-ever full-length stop-motion animated special won its time period across all TV and posted strong, double-digit gains over last year with K2-11 (7.8/2.6 million, +30%), K6-11 (7.7/1.5 million, +45%), T9-14 (5.7/1.2 million, +84%) and A18-49 (1.2/1.3 million, +33%).

- Nick Picks Up “Sam & Cat” Series
November 30, 2012 | Nickelodeon has officially picked up the iCarly/VICTORiOUS spin-off series Sam & Cat. Created by Dan Schneider, the series will star Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande reprising their roles from their parent series.

November 28, 2012 | Peter Rabbit hops on to the TV screen with the premiere of Nickelodeon's brand-new primetime holiday special, "Peter Rabbit's Christmas Tale," Friday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT). Told with humor and heart, the special is a fresh re-imagining of the classic Beatrix Potter children's books, which have sold over 250 million copies worldwide and been translated into 35 languages. Peter Rabbit is produced in conjunction with Silvergate Media and animated by Brown Bag Films.

Starring Drake Bell (Drake & Josh) and Daniella Monet(Victorious), A Fairly Odd Christmas follows Timmy Turner as he travels around the world granting kids' wishes. When his good intentions get him in trouble with Santa Claus and land him on The Naughty List, Timmy must find a way to save Christmas before it's too late. The TV movie is executive produced by Nickelodeon hit-maker Butch Hartman and is based on his Emmy Award-winning animated series The Fairly OddParents.

November 13, 2012 | For the first time ever, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will emerge from the sewers of Manhattan with their very own float and join some of Nickelodeon's most popular stars in the 86th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade(R) on Thursday, Nov. 22. The Dora the Explorer float, inspired by the "Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure" television special, will have a return appearance at the Parade and will feature a performance by Nick star and Columbia recording artist Rachel Crow. iCarly's Jennette McCurdy will perform on Pepperidge Farm's Goldfish(R) on Parade float and SpongeBob SquarePants will make his ninth appearance as the only "square" balloon.

November 13, 2012 | Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) grew their winning streak to a fourth straight week, with SpongeBob topping all TV with K2-11 and TMNT winning its time period by double digits among K2-11 across all TV for Nov. 5-11, 2012. Nickelodeon’s preschool properties also posted solid ratings, with “Dora’s Royal Rescue” nabbing Nick the top preschool program for the week. Nickelodeon also was basic cable’s top-rated network in total day with kids 2-11 and total viewers this week.
- Nickelodeon’s New Series “Marvin Marvin” Premieres Saturday, November 24
November 9, 2012 | Nickelodeon premieres a brand-new out of this world live-action comedy series, Marvin Marvin, on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT). Starring internet sensation Lucas Cruikshank in his first lead role since the beloved Fred Figglehorn, the half-hour multi-camera series follows the adventures of Marvin, an intergalactic alien teenager who clumsily tries to adapt to his new life on Earth. Marvin Marvin will air regularly on Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
- Nick Schedules “Jimmy Neutron,” “Zoey 101” Specials; “Backyardigans” Returns
November 9, 2012 | Nickelodeon has scheduled repeats of hour-long specials for Jimmy Neutron and Zoey 101 this weekend. The first Neutron hour-longer “The Eggpire Strikes Back” is on the schedule to air Saturday at 3pm and the second Zoey hour-long special “The Curse of PCA” is on for Sunday at 1:30pm (both ET/PT). As always, Nickelodeon’s schedule deserves extra special notice for possibly changing at the last minute with little to no warning.

October 31, 2012 | Nickelodeon celebrates the holidays with its first full-length stop-motion animated special, It’s A SpongeBob Christmas!, premiering on Nickelodeon Sunday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT), following its CBS television premiere (11/23). It’s A SpongeBob Christmas! was inspired by the classic Rankin/Bass specials (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town) and the popular SpongeBob song released in 2009, “Don’t Be a Jerk (It’s Christmas),”co-written by Tom Kenny (voice of SpongeBob) and Andy Paley. The half-hour special features John Goodman as Santa Claus.

October 31, 2012 | I’m not a big fan of Fanboy & Chum Chum but I’m glad I tuned in Tuesday. I only did so because I’ve been recording all the new episodes that have been airing weekday mornings (at 7am) on Nickelodeon. Yes, they’re burning off the remaining episodes of the show, if you (likely) didn’t know. Why record them if I don’t like the show?
