- Disney XD Picks Up “Storm Hawks”
January 27, 2011 | Disney XD has acquired all 52 episodes of Nerd Corps Entertainment’s Storm Hawks animated series. The series originally aired for 26 episodes on Cartoon Network in the United States in 2007.
- Third Season of “Zeke and Luther” Premieres February 28 on Disney XD
January 24, 2011 | Skateboarding best friends Zeke and Luther go pro and embark on the ride of their lives in the turbocharged third season of Disney XD's hit comedy series, "Zeke and Luther," premiering MONDAY, FEBRUARY 28 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD and DisneyXD.com. The new season follows the duo as they discover that the biggest hurdle will be staying true to themselves. New episodes of "Zeke and Luther" will be presented Monday nights on Disney XD and will be showcased via Disney XD on Demand, DisneyXD.com, Disney XD Mobile, Xbox Live and iTunes.
- New Installment of “Winter Next X” Premieres January 31 on Disney XD
January 19, 2011 | Four talented young athletes get the chance to learn from the pros in a new installment of "Winter Next X," part of the "Next X" series of action sports reality shows developed by Disney XD in association with ESPN. Professional Winter X Games athletes Sarah Burke and Danny Kass mentor the young competitors in their chosen sport to see which amateur will be named Winter Next X and have the opportunity to showcase his or her skills at Winter X Games 15. "Winter Next X" will premiere MONDAY, JANUARY 31 (4:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD with new episodes airing daily throughout the week, culminating in a 15-minute special chronicling the young athletes' quest for the title of "Winter Next X" which airs Monday, February 7 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT). The episodes will air shortly thereafter on DisneyXD.com.

- Disney XD Orders New Martial Arts Comedy “Wasabi Warriors”
November 11, 2010 | Disney XD has ordered "Wasabi Warriors" (working title), a live action comedy set at the Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy, a strip mall martial arts studio and worst dojo in the underperforming nationwide Bobby Wasabi chain. There, a ragtag crew of lovable misfits welcomes a hotshot skateboarder named Jack, who will teach a group of neighborhood goofballs about life, karate and how to just plain kick it. The multi-camera series will begin production in Hollywood in January for a 2011 premiere around the world. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide.
- “TRON: Uprising” Animated Series Coming to Disney XD in Summer 2012
November 5, 2010 | Disney XD has put "TRON: Uprising" on the grid —a compelling story and visually stunning television series scheduled to premiere in summer 2012 on Disney XD. The story focuses on an era of the "TRON" storyline that transpires after the popular 1982 feature film and before the story in Walt Disney Studios' upcoming "TRON: Legacy." Its impressive list of artists, animators, directors, producers and digital technicians includes executive producer/director Charlie Bean ("Robotboy," "Samurai Jack," and "Powerpuff Girls"); and consulting producers Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz (both screenwriters of "TRON: Legacy" / executive producers of "Lost") and Justin Springer (co-producer of "TRON: Legacy"). The series will be preceded by a 10-part "TRON" micro-series launching in Fall 2011 on Disney XD.

October 29, 2010 | Disney Channel and Disney XD spread the holiday cheer with all new seasonal episodes of “Sonny with a Chance,” “The Suite Life on Deck,” “Phineas and Ferb,” “Zeke and Luther,” “Handy Manny” and “Special Agent Oso” beginning SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 28. The season includes Joe Jonas guest starring in a new special, “So Random!,” based on the sketch comedy show seen in the hit series “Sonny with a Chance,” and a multi-platform presentation of the holiday classic in the making, “Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation” (in an extended edition), on Disney Channel, Disney XD, ABC Family and the ABC Television Network. Last year the premiere of “Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation” set all-time high ratings records for Disney XD, delivering 2.88 million Total Viewers and series ratings highs on Disney Channel, where it delivered 5.21 million Total Viewers.

October 19, 2010 | Surging by double-digit percent margins year to year, Disney XD delivered a definitive win over The Hub in Total Day during its inaugural week, defeating the new kids’ network by 244% in Total Viewers (268,000 vs. 78,000), by 524% among Kids 6-14 (131,000 vs. 21,000), by 518% among Kids 6-11 (105,000 vs. 17,000) and by 600% among Tweens 9-14 (84,000 vs. 12,000). The network’s advantage in Total Day was even greater among boys, defeating The Hub by 580% among Boys 6-11 (68,000 vs. 10,000) and by 686% among Boys 9-14 (55,000 vs. 7,000).
- Disney XD Starts Production on the Animated Series “Motorcity”
October 11, 2010 | Production has begun on "Motorcity," an animated series set in a futuristic Detroit after it has been purchased and built into Detroit Deluxe by evil billionaire Abraham Kane. Kane, having banned personal freedoms including automobile transportation, is ultimately challenged by a group of rebels who call themselves The Burners. Led by 17-year-old Mike Chilton, The Burners retreat to an underground city, customize their fleet of hot rods and pursue their quest to stop Kane from taking over the world. The series, created by Chris Prynoski and produced by Disney Television Animation and Titmouse, Inc., is slated to premiere next year on the burgeoning Disney XD, which offers a compelling mix of live-action and animated programming for kids age 6-14, hyper-targeting boys and their quest for discovery, accomplishment, sports, adventure and humor. The announcement was made today by Eric Coleman, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Television Animation.
- New “Cars Toons” Premieres Friday, October 8 on Disney Channel
October 6, 2010 | A new Disney•Pixar "Cars Toons" short will premiere FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8 (9:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The animated short, directed by Academy Award®-winner John Lasseter with Rob Gibbs co-directing and composed by Mark Mothersbaugh ("Devo"), will also be presented on Disney XD on Friday, October 15 at 7:27 p.m., ET/PT.
- “The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” Premieres October 20 on Disney XD
September 20, 2010 | “The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!,” an all-new animated series featuring the best of the best in the Marvel Universe, premieres Wednesday, OCTOBER 20 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD. Produced by Marvel Animation, the series stars the world’s greatest heroes — Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, Ant-Man/Giant Man and Wasp — who form the Avengers, a team assembled when the powers of a single hero are not enough to save the world.
