November 19, 2013 | For the week of November 11, 2013, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s #1 network in Total Day for the 127th consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (542,000/2.3 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (521,000/2.2 rating), closing in on two-and-a-half years at #1 in the target kid demographics (dates back to week of 6/13/11). Moreover, the network hit a 10 week high in Total Viewers (1.563 million) and an 11 week high in Tweens 9-14 – since weeks of 9/2/13 and 8/26/13, respectively.
- Disney Junior Announces Holiday Premieres of “Doc McStuffins,” “Sofia the First” & More
November 13, 2013 | Disney Junior celebrates the season with holiday-themed episodes of its hit series, including "Doc McStuffins," in which Jeffrey Tambor and Tony Hale (both of "Arrested Development") guest star as Santa and Tobias the elf, respectively. On "Sofia the First," Eric Stonestreet ("Modern Family") reprises his role as Sofia's flying horse Minimus and Princess Aurora makes her debut. And Rhys Darby ("Flight of the Conchords") returns as Percy the penguin in "Jake and the Never Land Pirates." Other highlights include festive episodes of "Henry Hugglemonster," "Octonauts" and the popular short-form series, "Minnie's Bow-Toons."
- Disney Channel Changes Disney Junior Block Line-Up Starting Next Week
November 8, 2013 | After some soft ratings this fall, Disney Channel is altering the weekday portion of the Disney Junior programming block starting next week. In the process, Henry Hugglemonster will leave weekday hours.
- “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West” Premieres First 9 Episodes on WATCH Disney Junior Website & App
October 28, 2013 | In a first for Disney/ABC Television Group, a series will premiere on its hugely popular WATCH service. The animated "Sheriff Callie's Wild West," the first Western for preschoolers (kids age 2-7), will be available for verified viewers on WATCHDisneyJunior.com and the WATCH Disney Junior app for smartphones and tablets beginning SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24. The series will premiere on Disney Junior channels and programming blocks around the world in 2014.
- Production Begins on First Disney Junior Original Movie, “Lucky Duck”
October 3, 2013 | Production has begun on the first Disney Junior Original Movie, “Lucky Duck,” a music-filled, animated adventure at sea starring the voices of Christian Borle and Megan Hilty (both of “Smash”), and Tom Cavanaugh (“Royal Pains”). The movie follows a plucky rubber ducky named Lucky (Borle) who, after accidentally being tossed off a cargo ship, sets off in search of the perfect home. Along the way, he teams with a group of misfit tub toys including a sassy hippo, Flo (Hilty) and an apprehensive turtle named Snap (Cavanaugh).

September 30, 2013 | DisneyJunior.com has been entirely re-built to offer kids 2-5 even more fun with their favorite Disney Junior characters no matter what device they’re on – desktops, tablets or smartphones. The site also has added more than 20 new play-along mobile games and activities.
