Disney Channel’s “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” drummed up 8 million Total Viewers in its debut Friday night, ranking as the year’s No. 1 cable movie and TV’s No. 1 movie among Kids 6-11 (3.1 million/12.8 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (3.2 million/13.0 rating).

September 1, 2010 | “Handy Manny,” the Emmy-nominated Playhouse Disney series that celebrates Hispanic culture and language through its loveable handyman, moves into primetime with an all new special, “Handy Manny Big Construction Job,” premiering during Hispanic Heritage Month, MONDAY, OCTOBER 11 (7:00-7:55 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. In the fun-filled event for preschoolers and their families, Manny (played by Wilmer Valderrama) and the tools leave Sheet Rock Hills to work on a big out-of-town construction job where they meet new tool friends, Jack the jackhammer and Spinner the power drill.

August 31, 2010 | Firing on all cylinders during Summer 2010, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 5th consecutive summer in Tweens 9-14 (674,000/2.8 rating) and for the 2nd straight summer in Kids 6-11 (777,000/3.2 rating – tie). Impressively, Disney Channel closed out the summer netting the channel’s 11th consecutive weekly win in Tweens 9-14 and 4th straight weekly victory in Kids 6-11. In addition, this summer stood as the channel’s most-watched summer of all time in Total Day among Total Viewers (2.02 million) and top-rated in Kids 6-11 (3.2 rating – tied 2007 and 2009).

August 31, 2010 | Fueled by Friday and Sunday’s “Night of Premieres,” Disney Channel was the week’s No. 1 TV network in Total Day among Kids 6-11 (700,000/2.8 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (599,000/2.5 rating), towering over Nickelodeon by a considerable 22% in the Tween demo (599,000 vs. 490,000). This marked the third consecutive week that Disney Channel outdelivered Nickelodeon among Kids 6-11 (700,000 vs. 647,000), and the 11th week in a row among Tweens 9-14.

August 30, 2010 | Disney Channel fan favorites Mitchel Musso (Oliver on “Hannah Montana,” Jeremy on “Phineas and Ferb”) and Doc Shaw (Marcus on “The Suite Life on Deck”) will cross over to headline their own comedy adventure series, “Pair of Kings,” premiering WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on sibling channel Disney XD. The series follows the fraternal twins who must relocate from their Chicago home to the island of Kinkow after they learn they are the rightful heirs to the throne of this odd kingdom, one filled with peculiar superstitions and customs – and one that may not be ready for two teenage kings. Disney Channel will give Musso and Shaw a royal send off with a “Pair of Kings” hour-long special, featuring the two stars in candid interstitials, on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 (9:00 p.m. ET/PT).
