- Disney Channel Casts Comedy Pilot “Austin & Ally”
January 31, 2011 | After a nationwide search, three talented teens -- Ross Lynch, Laura Marano and Raini Rodriguez -- have been cast in the comedy pilot "Austin & Ally," to begin production next month in Hollywood. The pilot, in consideration for a Disney Channel series to premiere later this year, was created and executive-produced by Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, whose credits include "Good Burger," "Keenan & Kel," Disney Channel's "Sonny With A Chance" and "JONAS."
- Season 2 of “Good Luck Charlie” Premieres February 20; Production on DCOM Begins in March
January 26, 2011 | Disney Channel will premiere the sophomore season of its hit series for kids and tweens and families, "Good Luck Charlie," on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 20 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). Across all television for 2010, "Good Luck Charlie" ranked as the No. 2 series among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.

- Sunday 1/16 Cable Ratings: A Good Night for Disney Channel
January 19, 2011 | We've reported multiple times now on Disney Channel's Sunday night ratings victories, but we now add one more bit of info: adults 18-49 - which were pretty good for cable standards. Especially a network targeted at kids. To bad for Disney that Hannah Montana is over and Suite Life on Deck is nearing an end (it has yet to be renewed for a fourth season). At least Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up are two freshman series with great ratings thus far.

January 18, 2011 | Themes of "believing in yourself," "following your dreams," "celebrating family" and "staying true to yourself" are explored in the triumphant, music-driven "Lemonade Mouth," a Disney Channel Original Movie based on the book of the same name, set to premiere FRIDAY, APRIL 15 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The movie joins the powerhouse franchise that has delivered cable TV's No. 1 original movie telecast in Total Viewers for the past four years and TV's No. 1original movie among Tweens 9-14 for the past nine years.
- “Hannah Montana” Ends With 6.2 Million Total Viewers, Highest Rated Season
January 18, 2011 | After nearly 5 years and over 100 new episodes on Disney Channel, Sunday’s series finale of “Hannah Montana” delivered 6.2 million Total Viewers, outperforming its record-setting fourth season average by 9%. The finale was easily cable’s No. 1 telecast in the hour among Kids 6-11 (2.1 million/8.6 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.0 million/8.3 rating) and posted Disney Channel’s highest ratings ever in the hour in Total Viewers and Kids 6-11.
