- Friday 2/18 Cable Ratings: “Wizards” Over 5 Million, “Star Wars” Under 2 Million
February 22, 2011 | Friday’s new hour-long episode of Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney Channel scored over 5 million total viewers, up from the previous week’s episode that was under 3 million. However, Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network was down under 2 million, where in recent weeks it has been over.

February 17, 2011 | Disney Junior, the new multiplatform destination for kids age 2-7, will present "Imagination Movers in Concert," a 45-minute primetime special featuring more than a dozen songs from the Emmy Award-winning "Imagination Movers" television series. Premiering during Mardi Gras week, SUNDAY, MARCH 6 (6:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel, the concert was filmed before a sold-out crowd at the Lakefront Arena in the Movers' hometown of New Orleans. The special includes appearances by series guest stars Joey Fatone (*NSYNC) and Duff Goldman (Food Network's "Ace of Cakes"), along with Nina and Warehouse Mouse.

February 17, 2011 | A favorite star from “High School Musical” will be joined by six multitalented performers in a new music and dance-driven comedy pilot, “Madison High” (working title). The series pilot introduces a troupe of theater students led by the melodramatic drama teacher Ms. Darbus, a beloved character from the cultural sensation “High School Musical.” Production on the pilot begins in March in consideration for a Disney Channel series to premiere in early 2012.

February 1, 2011 | Boasting TV’s Top 10 scripted telecasts fronted my multiple telecasts of “Good Luck Charlie,” “Shake It Up” and “The Suite Life on Deck,” Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 9th consecutive month among Tweens 9-14 (549,000/2.3 rating), delivering its largest January audience on record in the target demo, as well as among Total Viewers (1.81 million) and Kids 6-11 (673,000/2.7 rating). Impressively, January 11 became the channel’s most-watched non-summer month in its history in the same key demographics. Year to year, Disney Channel posted solid double-digit percent gains in Kids 6-11 (+12% - 673,000 vs. 600,000) and Tweens 9-14 (+10% - 549,000 vs. 499,000).
