June 9, 2011 | Production has begun in Hollywood on "Jessie," a new comedy series starring 18-year-old Debby Ryan ("The Suite Life on Deck," "16 Wishes") as an idealistic teen from rural Texas who moves to New York City and becomes a nanny for a high-profile couple with four kids. The series is scheduled to premiere in fall 2011 on Disney Channel.

June 8, 2011 | During the week of May 30, owning the week’s Top 2 TV telecasts with the series debut of “So Random!” and a Season 2 high performance by “Good Luck Charlie,” Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day among Tweens 9-14 (534,000/2.2 rating) for the 6th straight week, and for the 24th time in the previous 27 weeks. In addition, this week stood as Disney Channel’s most-watched week among Kids 6-11 in 19 weeks (650,000/2.6 rating) and among Tweens 9-14 in 17 weeks – since weeks of 1/17/11 and 1/31/11, respectively.
- “Phineas and Ferb” Summer Plans Include TV Movie Premiering Friday, August 5 on Disney Channel
June 8, 2011 | The popular chattering character, Perry the Platypus, of Disney Channel's Emmy Award-winning "Phineas and Ferb," meets the distinctive, 27-foot rounded aluminum body of a customized Airstream trailer when Disney launches the "Perry the Platy-bus On Tour," originating MONDAY, JULY 11 in New York City. Outfitted stem-to-stern as Phineas' and Ferb's teal-colored pet platypus, Perry the Platy-bus will explore the adventures of the road on a coast-to-coast journey to San Diego's Comic-Con International (July 21-24) and then slips through the wind, all the way to the Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim (August 19-21).

- Disney’s Friends for Change Anthem “We Can Change the World” by Bridgit Mendler, Premieres June 10 on Disney Channel
June 3, 2011 | "We Can Change the World," the inspiring new pop/rock anthem for Disney's Friends for Change -- performed and co-written by 18-year-old actress and Hollywood Records recording artist Bridgit Mendler ("Good Luck Charlie," "Lemonade Mouth") -- will premiere FRIDAY, JUNE 10 on Radio Disney (7:00 p.m., ET/4:00 p.m., PT) and Disney Channel (in the 7:00 p.m., ET/PT hour). Beginning Saturday, June 11, the song will be available on Disney.com/ProjectGreen and the music video will be available at iTunes. Coinciding with its premiere, Disney will donate $250,000 to the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund benefiting global charities. "We Can Change the World" is the third Disney's Friends for Change anthem. Previous songs have helped raise more than $800,000 for conservation projects around the globe.
