- Season Three of “Good Luck Charlie” Premieres May 6
April 17, 2012 | Season Three of the hit comedy series for the entire family "Good Luck Charlie" will premiere with back-to-back episodes SUNDAY, MAY 6 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. It's more diapers, bottles and onesies for the Duncans as they prepare to welcome the newest member of their family. Baby Duncan, whose name was chosen by more than 25 million votes worldwide on www.DisneyChannel.com, will make its debut during a special one hour episode premiering this summer.
- Disney Channel Orders “Dog With A Blog” TV Series
April 13, 2012 | Disney Channel, the leading TV network for kids and families, has ordered "Dog With A Blog," a live action comedy series from Emmy-winning producer Michael B. Kaplan. A family sitcom from the pet’s point-of-view, it centers on step-siblings whose parents buy them a dog to encourage them to get along. That happens - to some extent - as brother and sister discover a big secret about their family's latest addition… that the dog can talk AND blog. The series will introduce a talented cast, among them, Disney Channel's next big star: a four year-old, mixed breed named Kuma in the role of Stan, the talking dog with a blog. The announcement was made today by Adam Bonnett, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channel.

April 10, 2012 | For the week of April 2, 2012, Disney Junior’s “Doc McStuffins” on Disney Channel ranked as TV’s #1 series for the 2nd consecutive week in Kids 2-5 (841,000/5.0 rating) and Boys 2-5 (447,000/5.2 rating) – marking the 10th week in a row a Disney Junior series has been #1 in Boys – was the #1 TV series in Girls 2-5 (394,000/4.8 rating) and the #1 preschool series in Women 18-49 (404,000/0.6 rating).

April 10, 2012 | During the week of April 2, 2012, Disney Channel ranked as cable TV’s #1 network in Total Day in Total Viewers (1.59 million), and delivered a clean sweep as TV’s #1 network across all target kid demos, Kids 2-11 (937,000/2.3 rating), Kids 6-11 (617,000/2.5 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (488,000/2.0 rating), extending the network’s impressive winning streak to 43 consecutive weeks the 6-11 and 9-14 demos (dates back to June 13, 2011). Moreover, this marked Disney Channel’s 5th time in the previous 6 weeks to rank #1 in Kids 2-11, and the 4th time in the previous 5 weeks ranking as the #1 cable TV network in Total Viewers.
- Disney and Common Sense Team for Anti-Cyberbullying Campaign
April 5, 2012 | For a proactive, far-reaching campaign that encourages kids and families to take a stand against cyberbullying, Common Sense Media teamed with Disney's Friends for Change, the popular initiative that inspires kids to make a difference in their world. Public Service Announcements geared towards kids age 6-14 and their families, each featuring the stars of Disney Channel and Disney XD hit series, will be presented multiple times per day beginning THURSDAY, APRIL 5 on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney.com. The messages were developed under the guidance of Common Sense Media, an independent non-profit organization which helps parents and teachers manage the media and technology in kids' lives. - Disney Channel Orders Family Comedy Pilot “Bits & Pieces”

- Disney Channel Starts Production on “Girl Vs. Monster”, Announces Cast
March 28, 2012 | Production has begun in Vancouver, Canada, on "Girl Vs. Monster" (working title), a Halloween-themed Disney Channel Original Movie starring popular actress Olivia Holt (of Disney XD's "Kickin' It") as a teenager who, after inadvertently unleashing an immortal monster when defying her parents' wishes to stay home, is shocked to discover the family secret that she is a fifth generation monster hunter. Olivia Holt performs two of the movie's pop rock songs, "Had Me @Hello," written by Dan Book, Alexei Misoul and Shelly Peiken, and "Fearless," written by Jeannie Lurie, Aris Archontis and Chen Neeman.

March 27, 2012 | During March 2012, Disney Channel completed its takeover of the kids’ TV landscape, ranking as cable TV’s #1 network in Total Day for the first time in the network’s history in Total Viewers (1.57 million), delivered its first outright #1 rank across all TV in Kids 2-11 (892,000/2.2 rating – 2nd month at #1 based on rating), was the #1 TV network for the 11th consecutive month in Kids 6-11 (545,000/2.2 rating) and for the 23rd straight month in Tweens 9-14 (450,000/1.9 rating).
