December 17, 2013 | For the week of December 9, 2013, driven by popular Disney and PIXAR theatricals, “Tangled,” “Monsters Inc,” “Ratatouille” and “Cars,” Disney Channel ranked as cable TV’s #1 Total Day network in Total Viewers (1.76 million) and extended its streak as the #1 TV network to over two-and-a-half years in Kids 6-11 (547,000/2.3 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (493,000/2.0 rating) – dates back to week of 6/13/11.
- ‘Tis the Season for Movies on Disney Channel
December 12, 2013 | Starting tomorrow, Disney Channel will expand their movie offerings beyond their original plan. Classics like the 1950 Cinderella and the 1951 Alice in Wonderland join more modern films like Tarzan and Hercules. Of course, Disney wouldn't be Disney if they didn't have the Pixar flixs in the mix. The Toy Story movies, Cars movies, Ratatouille, Monsters, Inc., A Bug's Life, Up and WALL-E will air over the next few weeks as well.
- Disney Channel Begins Casting for 2015 Original Movie “Descendants”
December 12, 2013 | Casting is underway for Disney's "Descendants," a contemporary live-action adventure-comedy that taps into Disney's heritage characters – notably its most evil villains – to introduce their progeny, a modern day generation of teenagers who ultimately question the evil that's always been in their hearts. Disney's "Descendants" is scheduled to begin production next spring for a 2015 premiere on Disney Channel.

- “Sofia the First: The Floating Palace” Soars to 7.6 Million Viewers in Live+7 Ratings
December 9, 2013 | Based on a full week of viewing, Disney Junior's "Sofia the First: The Floating Palace" on Disney Channel became the #2 telecast in cable TV history among Kids 2-5 (2.63 million/16.9 rating) and Girls 2-5 (1.85 million/24.3 rating), and the #2 preschool cable TV telecast ever in Total Viewers (7.62 million), Adults 18-49 (2.15 million/1.7 rating) and Women 18-49 (1.43 million/2.2 rating), behind only last year's, "Sofia the First” Once Upon a Princess."

December 6, 2013 | Season three of Disney Junior's Emmy-nominated animated series "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" will premiere Friday, January 3 on Disney Channel (8:30 a.m. ET/PT) and Disney Junior (7:50 p.m. ET/PT).

December 4, 2013 | For the week of November 25, 2013, Disney Channel delivered a Total Day sweep, ranking as cable TV’s #1 network in Total Viewers (1.943 million) and TV’s #1 network across major youth – Kids 2-11 (1.033 million/2.6 rating), Kids 6-11 (760,000/3.2 rating) and Tween 9-14 (699,000/2.9 rating) demos. Additionally, the network hit an 18-week high in Tweens 9-14, 16-week high in Total Viewers and 15-week high in Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11 – since weeks of 7/22/13, 8/5/13 and 8/12/13, respectively.
