- Cartoon Network Enterprises and Activision Partner to Release Interactive Game Based on “Generator Rex”
September 22, 2010 | Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the global licensing and merchandising arm of the television network, announced today that it has partnered with Activision Publishing, Inc., a leading worldwide developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and leisure products, to create the first-ever interactive title for the hit action-adventure series, Generator Rex. The untitled game will be based on the series that stars Rex, a 15-year-old super agent who has the ability to grow incredible mechanical weapons and vehicles from his own body, and is scheduled to be released in North America in fall 2011 for the Wii(TM), PlayStation(R)3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Nintendo DS(TM), and PSP(R) (PlayStation(R)Portable) system. This marks the first partnership between the two companies.

September 21, 2010 | Wednesday nights are about to get even more outrageous with the premiere of Cartoon Network's hilarious new game show, Hole in the Wall. Hosted by Teck Holmes (The Real World Hawaii), Hole in the Wall is a "twisted" half-hour game show featuring two teams of families in competition as they face down a series of moving walls with ever-changing cut-out shapes. The fun begins on Wednesday, October 6 with the debut of Hole in the Wall at 7:30 p.m. (E.T., P.T.), followed by all new episodes of Cartoon Networks returning hit series of Dude, What Would Happen at 8:00 p.m. and Destroy Build Destroy at 8:30 p.m.

The series pilot was written by Dini and helmed by prolific television director Terry McDonough (The Gates, Breaking Bad). Tower Prep tells the story of Ian Archer - played by stand out up-and-comer Drew Van Acker - a budding hero who wakes up one morning to find himself at a mysterious academy for teens with special abilities.

Overall kids 6-11 delivery (710,000) increased by 65% and ratings (2.9) by 61%; kids 2-11 delivery (973,000) increased by 60% and ratings (2.3) by53%; and kids 9-14 delivery (519,000) increased by 51% and ratings (2.1) by 50%.

September 8, 2010 | Cartoon Network began September ’10 by scoring double-digit ratings and delivery gains among kids 2-11 in both Prime Time and Total Day. Compared to the same time period last year, prime time delivery among kids 2-11 (795,000) increased by 13% and ratings (1.9) by 12%. In total day, weekly average kids 2-11 delivery (584,000) increased by 19% and ratings (1.4) by 17%. Total day delivery among kids 6-11 (358,000) also grew by 4% vs. the 2009 time period.
