March 15, 2011 | Monday night (7-9 p.m.) continues to be Cartoon Network’s biggest night of original animated comedy programming, which earned double-digit gains across the board last week vs. the same 2010 time period. Overall, kids 6-11 delivery (772,000) increased by 43% and ratings (3.1) by 41%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,091,000) and ratings (2.6) both increased by 24%, kids 9-14 delivery (561,000) increased by 56% and ratings (2.3) by 53%, boys 6-11 delivery (546,000) increased by 41% and ratings (4.3) by 39%, boys 2-11 delivery (714,000) increased by 30% and ratings (3.4) by 31%, and boys 9-14 delivery (438,000) increased by 64% and ratings (3.5) by 67%.

Building off of the success of the co-branded promotion for the first film’s debut release, Cartoon Network will provide an exclusive look at the new film through behind-the-scenes content, interactive opportunities, photos, on-set videos and more. The promotion will launch online the week of March 7 at http://www.CartoonNetwork.com/wimpy and continue throughout March, culminating on March 24 when Cartoon Network features exclusive behind-the-scenes videos during the Thursday night lineup. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules opens in theatres everywhere on Friday, Mar. 25.

March 7, 2011 | Cartoon Network is ordering additional episodes of their hilarious new game show, Hole in the Wall and hit live-action series Dude, What Would Happen along with a third season of Destroy Build Destroy. Since their Fall 2010 season premieres (Oct. 6, 2010), Dude, What Would Happen (8:00 p.m. ET, PT) and Destroy Build Destroy (8:30 p.m. ET, PT) are the #1 programs in their timeslots with boys 2-11, boys 6-11 and boys 9-14 according to Nielsen Media Research*. Since its series premiere, Hole in the Wall (7:30 p.m. ET, PT) is the #1 program in its timeslot with boys 6-11 and boys 9-14. Overall, Wednesday nights on Cartoon Network has seen double-digit delivery growth versus last year with kids and boys 6-11 and 9-14.

- Inaugural Cartoon Network HALL OF GAME Awards Delivers Winning Performance Among Targeted Kids and Boys
March 1, 2011 | Cartoon Network announced today its first-ever Cartoon Network HALL OF GAME Awards presentation (Friday, Feb. 25, 7-8:30 p.m.) earned significant double-digit ratings and delivery gains among targeted kids and boys audiences compared to the same time period last year. According to Nielsen Media Research, kids and boys ages 6-11, 9-14 and 12-17 all charted dramatic year-to-year improvements, ranging between 29% and 76%. The inaugural, celebrity-studded sports award and entertainment event, taped in Los Angeles, also charted solid ratings and delivery increases among boys 2-11 and attracted an average 1,487,000 total viewers.

March 1, 2011 | Cartoon Network’s February 2011 early evening prime performance out-paced its January ’11 performance across ALL kids demos: average kids 6-11 delivery (562,000) grew by 8% and ratings (2.3) by 10%, kids 2-11 delivery (829,000) and ratings (2.0) both grew by 5%, and kids 9-14 delivery (431,000) grew by 14% and ratings (1.8) by 13%. Versus February the previous year, the network’s performance among kids 9-14 delivery also increased by 14% and ratings by 20%.

February 14, 2011 | As a follow-up to the hit entertainment property and cultural phenomenon Bakugan, Spin Master Ltd. will once again bring its all-new boys action property, Redakai: Conquer The Kairu to Cartoon Network. A co-production between Spin Master and global TV production giant Zodiak Kids/Marathon Media, the televised series will debut on the network in the U.S. in the second half of 2011.
