Most watched premieres for first-half of 2018
With the first half of 2018 now past, let’s take a look at how Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network’s premiere ratings are going. Many shows have already hit their series lows (some multiple times) this year. And things haven’t been better with overall ratings either.
Disney Channel’s premiere of Zootopia stands as the highest kids’ network premiere of 2018 with 2.741 million viewers. Their original movie ZOMBIES was next with 2.567 million. The premiere of The Good Dinosaur was third with 1.705 million. After that, things take a big dive for their actual TV series, with Andi Mack coming in at #4 with 1.386 million. Eight episodes of Andi Mack filled Disney’s top 20 overall.
Nickelodeon, on the other hand, has done better overall with their shows thus far. All of Nick’s top 20 is higher than all of Disney Channel’s actual TV series and all of Cartoon Network top 20.
Cartoon Network has struggled, but they’d tell you they don’t care about TV ratings anymore. And it shows.
