Universal Kids unveils logo, updated website, new series

The new network name for Sprout, Universal Kids, launches on September 9th. They have officially released their new logo and a slew of new series that will join the network.

Universal Kids launched an updated website at UniversalKids.com. The website mentions some of the shows that will be on the network. Many were already announced, but a few are new.

Coming to Universal Kids are repeats of Little Big Shots (from NBC), new CBBC series Officially Amazing, The Deep (from BBC One) and Masha and the Bear, The Jungle Bunch and The Land Before Time: The Series – all of which currently air on Sprout.

UPDATE 8/26/17: Since posting this article, UniversalKids.com has removed images and links to both Little Big Shots and Officially Amazing.

The shows already announced were All Hail King Julien (Netflix), DreamWorks Dragons (Cartoon Network, Netflix), The Next Step (Family Channel), Nowhere Boys (Australia’s ABC Me), Hank Zipzer (CBBC) and Little Lunch (ABC Me).

Not mentoned on the website now, but Top Chef Junior is also a new series coming exclusively to the network.

The new network launches Saturday, September 9.

Universal Kids is owned and operated by NBCUniversal, which also owns DreamWorks Animation. The channel will rebrand from Sprout, but the Sprout branding will remain during much of the daypart (3AM-6PM) as a preschool programming block.
