The highlights are:
Saturday, March 19
(4:30 – 6:45 p.m. EDT) DISNEY – PIXAR’S A BUG’S LIFE
Flik (Dave Foley) is an inventive ant who’s always messing things up for his colony. His latest mishap was destroying the food stores that were supposed to be used to pay off grasshopper Hopper (Kevin Spacey). Now, the strong-arming insect is demanding that the ants gather double the food — or face annihilation. To avert disaster, Flik goes on a journey to recruit fighters to defend the colony. When he meets a band of high-flying circus insects, he thinks he’s found his salvation. Disney’s – Pixar’s “A Bug’s Life” repeats on Sunday, March 20 at 2:45 p.m. EDT.
(6:45 – 9:00 p.m. EDT) DISNEY’S THE JUNGLE BOOK
Based on Rudyard Kipling’s book, this classic Walt Disney animated film is a tale about Mowgli, an abandoned child raised by wolves whose peaceful existence is threatened by the return of the man-eating tiger Shere Khan (George Sanders). Facing certain death, Mowgli must overcome his reluctance to leave his wolf family and return to the “man village.” But, he is not alone on his quest. Aided by Bagheera the panther, and later by the carefree bear Balloo (Phil Harris), he braves the jungle’s many perils. Disney’s “The Jungle Book” repeats on Sunday, March 20 at 5:00 p.m. EDT.
(9:00– 11:45 p.m. EDT) DISNEY – PIXAR’S RATATOUILLE
Despite his family’s wishes and the obvious fact that he is a rat, Remy (Patton Oswalt) dreams of becoming a great French chef in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath the same restaurant named famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau (Brad Garrett). Regardless of the apparent dangers of being an unlikely, and certainly unwanted, visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy’s passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race turning the culinary world of Paris upside down. Remy is torn between his calling in life and returning forever to his previous existence as a rat. Along his soul-searching journey, he learns the truth about friendship, family and having no choice but to be what he really is – a rat who wants to be a chef. Disney – Pixar’s “Ratatouille” repeats on Sunday, March 20 at 7:15 p.m. EDT.
(11:45 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. EST) DISNEY’S POCAHONTAS
Free-spirited Pocahontas (Irene Bedard) and her woodland pals, Meeko (John Kassir) and Flit (Frank Welker), are surprised when they discover the first English settlers on the shores of their village. With the guidance and wisdom of her beloved Grandmother Willow (Linda Hunt) and the friendship of the courageous Captain John Smith (Mel Gibson), Pocahontas must find a way to bridge the divide between the two vastly different cultures. Disney’s “Pocahontas” repeats on Sunday, March 20 at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
