Toonami Roundup: “Dragon Ball Z Kai” Joins November 8, “Attack on Titan”, Month of Movies, Etc.

Thanks to a Q&A session on Toonami’s Tumblr page, Toonami has released tons of new information.

For starters, Dragon Ball Z Kai finally has an airdate and time: November 8th at Midnight, replacing long running [adult swim]/Toonami show Bleach. Ironicly, this news was announced a day after Dragon Ball Z Kai‘s last airing on TV (during the final broadcast of Vortexx). So if you’re missing your Kai on Saturdays, you won’t have to wait too much longer before it returns to TV.

While normally Toonami shows do not get re-ran after they have finished airing, Attack on Titan seems to be an exception. The show has been confirmed to be getting another run on the block. It is unknown what time it will continue airing, but it won’t likely be at the top of the block anymore. This news shouldn’t come as too much of a shock to fans, as the show has performed excellent, almost constantly pulling in 1 million viewers in total views (most Toonami shows only pull in 500,000-800,000 viewers each week).

And just like last year during the month of December, Toonami will be broadcasting another month of movies. It is currently unknown what movies they will be playing and when, but keep checking back here as we get closer to December for an update.

To send off this round-up, a minor piece of news to all FLCL and IGPX fans out there: both shows will eventually return to the block.
