Disney XD Sets Multi-Year Highs in Targeted Kid Demographics; “Lab Rats” Hits Series Ratings High; “Gravity Falls” Delivers Disney XD Ratings Highs

During the week of July 28, 2014, powered by solid ratings for live action and animated series “Lab Rats,” “Gravity Falls,” and “Kickin’ It,” Disney XD hit multi-year highs in Kids 6-14 (285,000) and Kids 2-11 (285,000) – since 11/5/12 and 11/19/12, respectively – and delivered its best week in over one year in Kids 6-11 (220,000 – since 6/24/13).
The network also achieved an over two-year high and #2 week ever in Boys 2-11 (172,000 – since 7/16/12), posted a near nine month high in Boys 6-11 (138,000 – since 10/7/13) and near eight month high in Boys 6-14 (178,000 – since 11/11/13).
Year to year, Disney XD surged by double digits across target demos, including by 13% in Total Viewers (477,000 vs. 421,000), by 45% in Kids 6-14 (285,000 vs. 196,000), by 51% in Kids 6-11 (220,000 vs. 146,000) and by 49% in Kids 2-11 (285,000 vs. 191,000).
- An all new “Lab Rats” (Monday, 8:30-9:30 p.m.) surged to series highs in Kids 2-11 (757,000/1.9 rating) and Boys 2-11 (443,000/2.2 rating) and delivered its #2 telecast on record in Total Viewers (1.365 million), Kids 6-14 (849,000/2.4 rating) and Boys 6-14 (517,000/2.8 rating), behind only an August 5, 2013 airing.
- “Gravity Falls” (Mon., 10:00 – 10:30 p.m.), which joined the network’s line-up in mid-April 2014, hit Disney XD series highs in Total Viewers (921,000), Kids 6-14 (576,000/1.6 rating), Boys 6-14 (352,000/1.9 rating), Kids 6-11 (470,000/2.0 rating), Boys 6-11 (289,000/2.4 rating), Kids 2-11 (580,000/1.5 rating) and Boys 2-11 (367,000/1.8 rating) – since 11/11/13.
