DISNEY XD ORDERS A FOURTH SEASON OF HIT
SCI-FI COMEDY SERIES “LAB RATS”
Disney XD has ordered a fourth season of its hit bionic-teen comedy series “Lab Rats.” It was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production will resume in Los Angeles in October while new episodes continue to rollout, including a story arc that relocates the main characters – Leo, Adam, Bree and Chase – to the secret, high-tech island location of the first-ever Davenport Bionic Academy. Stories taking place at this futuristic training facility continue into season four, premiering in 2015.
2014 to date, “Lab Rats” is Disney XD’s #1 series in Total Viewers and across its targeted Kid and Boy 2-11, 6-11, 6-14 and 9-14 demographics.
Created by Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore (“That ’70s Show”) and executive-produced by Peterson, Moore and Hayes Jackson (“According to Jim”), the series stars Billy Unger as Chase, Spencer Boldman as Adam, Kelli Berglund as Bree, Tyrel Jackson Williams as Leo and Hal Sparks as Donald Davenport.
Bonnett said, “Chris and Bryan’s vision for ‘Lab Rats’ has taken its current season to new creative heights with the perfect combination of humor, superhero mythology and action adventure. Their big idea for growing the world and amping up the stakes for Disney XD’s #1 series has created great excitement for the ensuing season.”
In season three, airing Monday nights on Disney XD, the Davenports are recovering from Douglas wiping out their lab and Perry learning their bionic secret when they are introduced to Krane, a more powerful evil force who is intent on destroying Adam, Bree and Chase and taking over the world.
The series is produced by It’s A Laugh Productions, Inc. and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.
