TELETOON Highlights Summary
TELETOON premieres the new series Steven Universe this April. Described as “the romantic misadventures of a weird looking boy and a flame-spewing princess” in the New York Times, the show follows Steven and three gem-covered female superheroes Amethyst, Garnet and Pearl. April Fool’s Day includes the premiere of a one hour Mightly Mighty Monsters: Pranks for the Memories special as well as the Total Drama All-Stars’ “alternate ending” finale episode where the season’s loser ends up winning! Both Packages From Planet X and Ultimate Spider-Man also air their season finale episodes this April. Lego Ninjago drops two brand new episodes back-to-back! Easter weekend celebrations includes a Ben 10: Omniverse all-day marathon, a Looney Tunes day and Easter Monday marathons of the network’s most watched shows.

Network Premiere: Season 1 begins Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT
Having debuted on November 4th, 2013 on Cartoon Network US, Steven Universe is a coming-of-age story told from the perspective of Steven, the youngest member of a team of magical Guardians of the Universe. The animated series was conceived as part of the shorts development initiative at Cartoon Network Studios, and is related by Emmy and Annie Award-nominated writer and storyboard artist Rebecca Sugar (Adventure Time).

TELETOON Retro Highlights Summary
TELETOON Retro begins the month with a April Fool’s Day mini-marathon, featuring classic episodes of The Smurfs, Alvin & The Chipmunks, Garfield & Friends and Animaniacs. The April schedule embraces all things bunnies, with a complete 24 Hour Bugs Bunny marathon over the Easter weekend, including the TELETOON Retro premiere of Bugs Bunny’s Easter Funnies. All four feature films of The Land Before Time series are screened for the Friday Morning Matinees and Retro Rewind Marathons include My Pet Monster, Babar, Looney Tunes and Alvin & The Chipmunks. TELETOON Retro also salutes the environment by acknowledging that Earth Day occurs in April, with screenings of FernGully and FernGully 2: The Magical Rescue within this month’s Retro Fun Flicks Premieres. The Man Called Flintstone and Stuart Little III are also included in the lineup.
