Cartoon Network & Nicktoons Schedule Changes: “Mystery Inc.” Returns

Cartoon Network and Nicktoons are both making a few changes to their normal line-ups. Cartoon Network’s schedule changes take effect next week, while Nicktoons’ schedule alterations start Saturday.

First up, Cartoon Network is bringing back reruns of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated on weekdays at 8:30am (all times ET/PT). The series has been off their airwaves since August. This addition bumps the start of the weekday morning movie to 9am, followed by just one episode of The Garfield Show at 10:30am, as the first episode will be removed due to this addition.

Also on weekdays, Johnny Test returns to a stable schedule spot. The Canadian-animated series will air from 2-3pm, replacing Codename: Kids Next Door.

While not a schedule change, it’s worth noting that on Monday, February 17, after the Hall of Game Awards, Cartoon Network will preview the pilot episode of the new series Clarence at 8:30pm. A new episode of Steven Universe will follow at a special time of 8:45 for that night only.

Moving to Nicktoons:

DigimonStarting this Saturday, classic Digimon episodes are being removed from the line-up. The series was airing from 9:30-11am only, and will be replaced by Rush Zone at 9:30 and two episodes of Kung Fu Panda from 10-11am (all times ET).

Also on Saturdays, classic Yu-Gi-Oh! premieres move to 6-7pm, from their normal Sunday afternoon position. Wild Grinders will be bumped from this hour. Lastly on Saturday, Monsters vs. Aliens replaces Rush Zone at 9pm.

Sundays see the rearrangement of Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL encores to 6am (from 3pm) and Rush Zone: Season of the Guardians (season two) at 6:30am. Both replace Nick’s TMNT. Current season Rush Zone episodes will air from 3-4pm followed by Wild Grinders from 4-5pm, both replacing the aforementioned Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Lastly on Sundays, Back at the Barnyard will air from 5-7pm, replacing the Wild Grinders block.

Weekdays also see one slight change. Digimon Fusion joins the stripped line-up at 7:30am, replacing The Legend of Korra, which is now off the normal line-up.

Nicktoons is airing a special Villain-themed Valentine’s week next Monday-Friday from 9pm-midnight. Monday is SpongeBob, Tuesday is TMNT, Wednesday is Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, Thursday is Korra and Friday is T.U.F.F. Puppy – which includes a new half-hour premiere at 9pm.
