Top 50 Most Watched Disney Channel Programs of 2013
With 2013 coming to close very soon, let’s take a look back at the year – in TV ratings! We’ll start off first with Disney Channel…
Disney has to thank the movies, as 30 of their top 50 most watched programs this year were movies. Both Tangled and Despicable Me scored eight showings each in the top 50. Teen Beach Movie alone is the top scoring program for Disney this year. But the specials can’t be counted out either! The Wizards Return special in March and the Good Luck Jessie holiday special in November were the second and third most watched Disney Channel programs of the year.
On the series side, Liv and Maddie got a nice sampling after Teen Beach Movie – with 5.8 million viewers and the top TV series telecast for Disney this year. Austin & Ally had five telecast in the top 50 this year, scoring 4.9 million for its most watched episode this year. Minus the crossover special, Jessie notched three spots and Good Luck Charlie had two. Shake It Up ended its run with two episodes in the top 50 for the year while animated favorite Gravity Falls had one. Dog With A Blog also placed one showing in the top 50, along with Disney Junior series Sofia the First.

Special Disney Channel Note: This list excludes short series and specials that run under 10 minutes (such as the Mickey Mouse cartoons, Disney Junior shorts, Tangled Ever After and Toy Story Toons).
Please Note: In the Nielsen TV world, the year 2013 runs from 12/31/2012 to 12/29/2013. Therefore, three days of data (12/27-29/13) is currently unavailable as of this writing. If anything aired between these days scores enough viewers to be placed in the chart below, we’ll update later next week with the corrected information.
