Cartoon Network Schedule Changes: “Cartoon Planet” Airing Weekdays, Plus Other Changes

Cartoon Planet

Starting Monday, November 4, Cartoon Network will make several changes to their weekday line-up, including a daily Cartoon Planet hour.

First off, at 6am What’s New Scooby-Doo? will replace Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (which is off Cartoon Network, but is now airing weekdays from 6-7pm on sister digital network Boomerang). The Amazing World of Gumball will now air at 6:30am (Monday-Thursday only, as Tenkai Knights airs on Fridays), replacing What’s New Scooby’s former slot.

While this change was already announced, Looney Tunes does return to weekdays in the 11am hour, as it was off during October for Casper’s Scare School.

Tom & Jerry continues at noon, with Tom & Jerry Tales’ normal 1pm slot. However, a second Tom & Jerry Tales will now air at 1:30pm as well, replacing Codename: Kids Next Door, which was supposed to return to the line-up after being off during October. There’s no stopping these cat-and-mouse games!

Cartoon Planet will then air in the 2pm hour, replacing Courage the Cowardly Dog and Johnny Test. However, since Cartoon Planet airs a variety of Cartoon Network series from the past to the present, Courage, KND and many others will still appear in the block, even if they don’t have a permanent weekday timeslot.

Teen Titans Go! will now air at 3pm followed by Total Drama Island at 3:30. Both series replace former Gumball timeslots. Adventure Time will fill the 4pm hour, replacing former Total Drama and Teen Titans Go! airings.

A mixed rotation of Uncle Grandpa, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Johnny Test and new series Steven Universe will now air from 5-7pm, with some shows airing for only 11-minutes and others a half hour.

As a reminder: Steven Universe premieres Monday at 8pm. That will now bump new episodes of Uncle Grandpa to Tuesdays at 8pm. Other premieres will continue to fill the 7pm hour and 8pm some nights like normal on Mondays-Thursdays.

On Saturdays, a change that starts this weekend (Nov. 2) will have Legends of Chima repeats moving up to 7am, replacing Teen Titans Go!. Ben 10: Omniverse’s new episodes will now shift up to 9am, replacing Chima’s former spot. Teen Titans Go! will now air at Omniverse’s former 9:30am time.

Starting November 9th, Steven Universe will air at 10:30am followed by Cartoon Planet at 11am. Then in the noon hour is Johnny Test, followed by hour blocks of The Amazing World of Gumball, Uncle Grandpa and Total Drama: All Stars.
