Nickelodeon Cancels “Wendell & Vinnie”
Deadline.com is reporting that Nickelodeon has canceled Wendell & Vinnie after one season.
The series, which was originally intended for Nick@Nite, premiered during the main Nickelodeon programming in February. The 20-episode season has aired only 14 episodes with six remaining to be aired.
Ratings for the show were low. An average of 2.3 million viewers watched the first four episodes on Saturday nights. The next two Saturday showings dropped considerably (1.4 & 1.6 million viewers each). The show was then moved to Thursday nights at 8:30pm after Big Time Rush and scored between 1.1 and 1.6 million viewers each.
UPDATE: The remaining six episodes will be burned off Sundays at 8:30pm (on Nick@Nite) starting this week.
