“Rabbids Invasion” Premieres to 2.6 Million Viewers

NEW YORK–Aug. 6, 2013– Nickelodeon continued its ratings roll this week (7/29/13-8/4/13) by posting its 28th consecutive week of gains with K2-11 (2.9/969K; +7%). The net was also up with total viewers (1.9M; +5%). Nick’s ratings gains were fueled by the launch of Rabbids Invasion (Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT)–Nickelodeon’s new CG-animated series featuring Ubisoft’s wacky, mysterious creatures known as Rabbids®–and new episodes of its latest crop of live-action hits Sam & Cat and The Haunted Hathaways.
Rabbids Invasion’s Saturday morning premiere drew 2.6M total viewers and posted double-digit year over year gains for the net; averaging a 4.2/1.4M K2-11 (+35%), 4.7/928K K6-11 (+57%), 2.9/581K (+71%) and +32% increase with total viewers. The series also topped in its time period with boys 2-11 (5.0/843K; +47%) and boys 6-11 (5.8/584; +57%).
Originating from Ubisoft’s popular Raving Rabbids video games, the 26-episode, half-hour series, Rabbids Invasion, follows the curious creatures as they discover, explore, and wreak havoc in the human world. The series airs regularly on Saturday mornings at 11:30 a.m.
A brand-new episode of Nickelodeon’s hit live-action comedy Sam & Cat (Saturday, Aug. 3, at 8 p.m.) won its time period with all kid and tween demos across all TV. The live-action comedy, drew 2.9M total viewers and averaged a 4.2/1.4M K2-11, 5.3/1.0M K6-11, 4.5/907K T9-14; posting double-digit gains for the net with K2-11 (+11%), K6-11 (+33%), T9-14 (+50%) and total viewers (+25%).
Sam & Cat’s primetime premiere was followed by a new episode of The Haunted Hathaways (8:30 p.m.), which drew 2.4M total viewers and posted double-digit year over year gains for Nick, averaging a 3.7/1.2M K2-11 (+19%), 4.8/952K (+26%), 4.0/822K (+48%) and +23% increase with total viewers.
