Is “The Hub” Rebranding to “Hub Network”?
Updated 5/7: The updated “Hub Network” logo has been added above. Still no date when this will go into effect on-air.
With the recent press releases from The Hub in the past few days, they are now referring to themselves as “Hub Network” in every aspect, whereas they would always say “The Hub” or “Hub TV Network”.
The change is reflected throughout Hub’s press website, but has yet to be displayed across their website (HubWorld.com) or on-air. Promos still refer to “The Hub”. The network’s Twitter and Facebook pages also still say “The Hub”.
With today’s June premieres announced to begin on June 1, it sounds like the prime opportunity for the network to rebrand to this new name.
Even HubNetwork.com is now registered to Joshua Meyer, who is The Hub’s SVP Business and Legal Affairs, according to DomainTools.com. The domain was last modified on April 4, 2013 and the site redirects to The Hub’s official website, currently at HubWorld.com.
While “Hub Network” doesn’t roll as well as “The Hub” – it does give the network a somewhat more distinct name. Searching for “The Hub” online doesn’t always lead you to the proper place.
If/when The Hub officially becomes Hub Network – we’ll keep you updated!
