Disney Channel: Total Day and Prime Highlights
For the week of February 25, 2013, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s #1 network for the 90th consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (566,000/2.4 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (499,000/2.1 rating), out-performing Nickelodeon by double digits for the 69th (+24% – vs. 457,000) and 71st consecutive weeks (+61% – vs. 309,000).
In Prime, Disney Channel extended its streak as the #1 cable TV network to 409 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (1.0 million/4.2 rating – nearly 8 years) and to 145 consecutive weeks in Tweens 9-14 (902,000/3.8 rating – nearly 3 years).
- Friday’s original “Jessie” (8:30 – 9:00 p.m.) ranked as the week’s #1 live-action TV telecast in Kids 2-11 (1.75 million/4.4 rating), Kids 6-11 (1.4 million/5.7 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.1 million/4.8 rating). Overall, Disney Channel delivered 15 of TV’s Top 20 telecasts in Kids 6-11, and 27 of the Top 30 in Tweens 9-14.
Disney Junior Preschooler Block
For the week, Disney Junior, Disney Channel’s preschooler block for kids age 2-7, held the week’s Top 4 cable TV series in Kids 2-5 with “Sofia the First” (809,000/5.1 rating), “Doc McStuffins” (722,000/4.5 rating), “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” (711,000/4.4 rating) and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” (675,000/4.2 rating), representing “Sofia’s” 5th consecutive week at #1 and the block’s 10th week in a row with the #1 preschool cable TV series in the demo.
Friday’s all-new “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” (‘Jake’s Birthday Bash’, 8:30 – 8:55 a.m.) stood as the series’ #3 telecast of all time in Kids 2-5 (1.03 million/6.5 rating) and its #2 telecast on record in Girls 2-5 (527,000/6.7 rating).
- Overall, the block gave Disney Channel the week’s Top 4 cable TV series in Kids 2-5 and Girls, Top 3 in Boys 2-5 and the Top 4 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers and Women 18-49:
