For the week of February 11, 2013, propelled by Friday’s and Sunday’s original lineups, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s #1 network for the 88th consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (616,000/2.6 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (535,000/2.2 rating), towering over Nickelodeon by double digits for the 67th (+33% – vs. 464,000) and 69th consecutive weeks (+79% – vs. 299,000), respectively, and also ranked #1 in Kids 2-11 (2.5 rating – tie).
In Prime, Disney Channel extended its streak as the #1 cable TV network to 407 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (1.13 million/4.8 rating – nearly 8 years) and to 143 consecutive weeks in Tweens 9-14 (978,000/4.1 rating – nearly 3 years).
- On Sunday, “Dog With A Blog” (8:00 – 8:30 p.m.) and “Austin & Ally” (8:30 – 9:00 p.m.) soared to series highs in Tweens 9-14, and delivered their #2 telecasts on record in Total Viewers, Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11. Moreover, “Shake It Up” surged by double digits over its last original telecast, becoming the series’ #2 telecast of all time in Tweens 9-14, and #3 telecast ever in Total Viewers and Kids 6-11.
- Overall, Disney Channel delivered the week’s Top 6 TV telecasts in Kids 2-11, Top 13 in Kids 6-11 (15 of the Top 16) and Top 12 in Tweens (47 of the Top 50). Top 5 listed below:
Disney Junior Preschooler Block
For the week, Disney Junior, Disney Channel’s preschooler block for kids age 2-7 and their caregivers, held the week’s Top 2 cable TV series in Kids 2-5 with “Sofia the First” (759,000/4.7 rating) and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” (696,000/4.3 rating), representing “Sofia’s” 3rd consecutive week at #1 and the block’s 8th consecutive week with the #1 preschool cable TV series in the demo. In Girls 2-5, “Sofia the First,” “Doc McStuffins” and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” were the Top 3 cable TV series.
Impressively, the preschool weekend block surged to all-time network highs in the daypart (6:00 – 9:00 a.m.) with Kids 2-5 (609,000/3.8 rating) and Girls 2-5 (360,000/4.6 rating).
- Overall, the block gave Disney Channel the week’s Top 2 cable TV series in Kids 2-5, Top 3 in Girls 2-5 and the Top 5 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers and Women 18-49:
