Did #SaveYJandGLTAS Campaign Help “Young Justice” Score Season High Ratings?
Saturday morning’s new episode of Young Justice: Invasion scored 2.123 million total viewers, a possible season high with total viewers (see below for a ratings breakdown for this season).
After Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series were both left out of the Cartoon Network upfront last Monday, fans instantly started online campaigns to help both shows continue on. A “#SaveYJandGLTAS” tag campaign became popular throughout the week and the tag was trending on Twitter during DC Nation’s premieres on Saturday.
While we can’t say for sure that the cancelation or the #SaveYJandGLTAS hashtag were the causes of the viewer bump, it’s certainly encouraging news but doesn’t necessarily mean the network will renew the series.
Green Lantern: The Animated Series didn’t see a bump, as it scored 1.733 million total viewers, which was down 14,000 viewers from last week.
