- “Degrassi” Returns With New Episodes Starting Monday, February 20
January 12, 2012 | TeenNick's award-winning and Emmy nominated drama, Degrassi opens its doors to a new crop of freshman and reunites fans with familiar faces as the network premieres 14 new half-hour episodes filled with love triangles, rivalries and scandals. Brand-new episodes roll out beginning Monday, Feb. 20, at 9:00 p.m. (ET) with the premiere of "Underneath it All" Pt. 1 followed by "Underneath it All" Pt. 2 on Friday, Feb. 24, at 9:00 p.m. (ET). New Degrassi episodes will premiere Fridays at 9:00 p.m. (ET). Leading up to the premiere, the Degrassi cast will host five "Party with Degrassi" screening events across the U.S., giving fans an exclusive sneak peek of the new season.
- “The Super Hero Squad Show” Moves to The Hub Starting January 30
January 12, 2012 | The Hub Television network, a destination for kids and their families, has acquired the hit animated series "The Super Hero Squad Show" from Marvel Animation. The popular half-hour series, which features the world's best-known Super Heroes including Iron Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America will join The Hub's Monday through Friday lineup beginning Monday, January 30, at 4 p.m. ET (with encore presentations on the weekend).
- Will Smith to Host Nickelodeon’s 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards on March 31, 2012
January 11, 2012 | World-renowned actor, producer and recording artist Will Smith (I Am Legend, The Pursuit of Happyness and the upcoming Men in Black III) will host Nickelodeon's 25th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, airing live on Saturday, March 31, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/tape delayed for West Coast) from the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles, California. Smith, a ten-time Blimp Award winner, will be joined by Hollywood's biggest stars in an unforgettable, special anniversary slimefest where kids rule.

January 10, 2012 | Powered by record highs for the series finale of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” as well as all-new episodes of “Jessie” and “Fish Hooks” during the week of January 2, 2012, Disney Channel continued its stellar ratings performance and dominance of the TV landscape, sweeping TV’s #1 Total Day rank in target demos, Kids 2-11 (1.0 million/2.5 rating), Kids 6-11 (712,000/2.9 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (590,000/2.5 rating).
- Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for January 2 – 8, 2012
January 10, 2012 | Cartoon Network’s early evening prime time (M-Su, 7-9 p.m.) posted solid gains across all key kid demos—vs. the same time period last year, average kids 6-11 delivery (544,000) increased by 3%, kids 2-11 (804,000) also by 3%, and kids 9-14 (438,000) by 16%. In Total Day, average kids delivery also grew across the board—kids 6-11 (327,000) grew by 9%, kids 2-11 (502,000) by 4% and kids 9-14 (271,000) by 28%.

- Disney XD Launches “Marvel Universe” Block April 1 With “Ultimate Spider-Man” Premiere
January 9, 2012 | Disney XD will launch Marvel Universe, a dedicated Marvel programming block, with the new series "Ultimate Spider-Man" as its centerpiece, on SUNDAY, APRIL 1, it was announced today by Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer, Disney Channels Worldwide at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena, California.
- 24-Hour Disney Junior Cable Channel Launches Friday, March 23
January 9, 2012 | Disney Junior, a 24-hour basic cable/satellite channel expressly for kids age 2-7 and their parents/caregivers, will launch FRIDAY, MARCH 23 (12:00 midnight, ET/PT) in the U.S., joining 28 other Disney Junior channels around the world. The announcement was made today at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena, California, by Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. Disney Junior was introduced as a daily programming block on Disney Channel in February 2010 and, year to year, its ratings are up 26% among Kids 2-5 and 36% among Boys 2-5.
