The Hub Gives Thanks With “ALF” Marathon, Premieres and Movies This Thanksgiving Weekend

LOS ANGELES – The Hub TV Network, one of the fastest growing basic cable networks year-to-date, celebrates “Fappiano” (the name given to “Thanksgiving” on ALF’s home planet) with a special twelve-hour “ALF” marathon Thursday, November 22 (6 p.m.-6 a.m. ET) featuring favorite episodes of the beloved sitcom that the whole family can enjoy. Over the holiday weekend, the network also offers up a feast of other family fare during a “Black Friday” movie marathon Friday, November 23 (4 p.m.-4 a.m. ET) featuring Cats & Dogs, Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore and Monster House. The holiday weekend concludes on Saturday, November 24 with a lineup of new episodes from several Hub Original series including a special holiday-themed musical episode of “Pound Puppies (9 a.m. ET),” produced by Hasbro Studios.
The holiday festivities begin Thursday, November 22 (6 p.m.-6 a.m. ET) with a Thanksgiving Day marathon of fan-favorite back-to-back episodes of “ALF” featuring the adventures of Gordon Shumway, a furry, wisecracking alien from the planet Melmac who crash lands into the garage of the Tanner family. The Tanners offer him a home and give him the nickname ALF, short for “Alien Life Form.” Created by Tom Patchett (“The Carol Burnett Show”) and Paul Fusco (also the puppeteer for ALF), the half-hour sitcom rose to popularity in the late 1980s cementing itself in the pop culture zeitgeist.
The Hub will also present a special “Black Friday” Movie marathon Friday, November 23 (4 p.m.-4 a.m. ET) of family-favorite films including Cats & Dogs (4-6 p.m. ET; encore 10 p.m.-midnight) featuring the voice talents of Tobey Maguire (The Great Gatsby), Alec Baldwin (“30 Rock”), Jon Lovitz (Hotel Transylvania); Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (6-8 p.m. ET; encore midnight-2 a.m.) starring Neil Patrick Harris (“How I Met Your Mother”), Christina Applegate (“Up All Night”) and James Marsden (X-Men). The night will wrap with the animated film Monster House (8-10 p.m. ET; encore 2-4 a.m.) featuring Kevin James (Hotel Transylvania), Nick Cannon (“America’s Got Talent”) and John Heder (“Napoleon Dynamite”).
To get viewers even more into the spirit of the holidays, a special holiday-themed musical episode of “Pound Puppies,” will premiere Saturday, November 24 (9 a.m. ET) which finds the Puppies in need of a miracle on Christmas Eve.
Rounding out the holiday weekend on Saturday, November 24 are new episodes from original animated and live-action Hub series “Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot,” “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic,” “Littlest Pet Shop,” “Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters,” “Dan Vs.” and “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour: The Series.”

War is being waged – between the two great armies of Cats and Dogs. When the Cats plot to destroy a new vaccine that would cure all human allergies to Dogs, the Dogs fight back to prevent the Cats from succeeding in their quest for world domination.
(6-8 p.m. and midnight-2 a.m.) — Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
In this adventurous sequel to Cats & Dogs, Kitty Galore has hatched a diabolical ploy to not only bring her canine foes to heel, but her kitty comrades as well. Faced with this brazen threat, cats and dogs are forced to unite in an unprecedented alliance.
(8-10 p.m. and 2-4 a.m.) Monster House
In this spooky animated feature, three friends cross over to the other side of the street to unlock a mystery and experience the greatest adventure of their lives.
Saturday, November 24
(8-8:30 a.m.) — “Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot” (new original episode)
“Holi-Stage” – It’s Great Giving Day. But when Ethan comes to help the Care Bears with their Great Giving Day Pageant, he takes over the pageant, jeopardizing Great Giving Bear’s once-a-year appearance.
(9-9:30 a.m.) — “Pound Puppies” (new original episode)
“I Heard the Barks on Christmas Eve” – The Pound Puppies need a miracle to place thousands of puppies that are overflowing from shelters all over town. The task seems insurmountable, but Rebound’s tenacity may be just enough to pull off a Christmas miracle.
(10:30-11 a.m.) — “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” (new original episode)
“One Bad Apple” – The Cutie Mark Crusaders are crushed when Apple Bloom’s cousin, Babs Seed, rejects their invitation to become a fellow Crusader and instead becomes a bully determined to make their lives miserable.
(11:30 a.m.-noon) — “Littlest Pet Shop” (new original episode)
“Gailbreak!” – Zoe’s sister Gail gets trapped in the Largest Ever Pet Shop. In order to rescue her, the gang must first get past the Biskit twins and their high-tech security robot.
(2-2:30 p.m.) — “Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters” (new original episode)
“Heavenly Creatures” – After Sasha sends a message to Gabe that her home is under attack, the kids travel to the Light Civilization to find her fortress under siege by Alakshmi, Fingers and Heller during their attempt to steal the final powerful artifact.
(4-4:30 p.m.) — “Dan Vs.” (new original episode)
“The Mummy” – When the object of Dan’s revenge turns out to be a laid-back, undead Egyptian king who won’t leave him alone, Dan resorts to some ancient means of pest control. Guest starring Seth Green (“Robot Chicken”).
(6-6:30 p.m.) — “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour: The Series” (new original episode)
