After just two weeks of their new fall schedule, Nicktoons is already making significant changes to their line-up starting this weekend and continuing into next week.

No shows are joining the line-up but a few are leaving or being severely reduced. The Troop, The Mighty B!, Power Rangers Ninja Storm, Power Rangers Dino Thunder and Power Rangers Jungle Fury are all leaving the line-up completely, while Danny Phantom and Power Rangers Time Force are each being reduced to a single day of only a handful of airings.

The weekend changes take place starting tomorrow. Both Saturday and Sunday will now be consistent from 2-9pm with four episodes of Avatar from 2-4pm followed by two episodes of T.U.F.F Puppy, two episodes of Back at the Barnyard at 5pm, single episodes of Wild Grinders and Planet Sheen at 6pm, two more episodes of T.U.F.F Puppy (which are really repeats of the early episodes) and two episodes of The Fairly OddParents at 8pm. That now places OddParents on Nicktoons’ line-up everyday in the 8pm hour. This all replaces two-hour blocks of movies/specials, El Tigre and The Penguins of Madagascar on Saturday and Monsuno, Supah Ninjas and Wild Grinders on Sunday from 2-8pm and Fanboy & Chum Chum in the 8pm hour both days. Also, Robot and Monster replaces the previous occupants (OddParents on Saturday and SpongeBob at 11:30pm on Sunday) in the 11pm hour each weekend night.

Weekdays are next to receive the schedule updates. Starting Monday, Jimmy Neutron replaces Fanboy in the 6am hour with Fanboy & Chum Chum sliding to the 7am in place of Power Rangers Ninja Storm. Power Rangers Samurai remains in the 8am hour – which is now the only Power Rangers on Nicktoons during the weekday hours.

At 9am is now an hour of Invader ZIM returning to daylight hours, replacing The Troop and Planet Sheen. 10am-12pm remains three Neutrons and a single Sheen. The noon hour brings us a repeat of the 9am hour of ZIM episodes. Back at the Barnyard expands to a full hour now at 1pm, replacing Danny Phantom. Danny remains on late-Friday nights (early-Saturday mornings) block from 4-6am – its only timeslots now.

The previous 2-8pm marathons blocks are now complete gone, replaced by the following shows: Planet Sheen and T.U.F.F. Puppy in the 2pm hour, Fanboy & Chum Chum in both the 3pm and 6pm hours (same episodes), Avatar in the 4pm hour, Sheen and a weekday strip of Wild Grinders in the 5pm hour and The Penguins of Madagascar in the 7pm hour. Penguins is only on Monday-Thursdays, with Avatar in the hour on Fridays. Also, the first 11-minutes of each Penguins hour is a Nicktoons premiere episode from the show’s second season.

Lastly, on Fridays, Fairly OddParents replaces the 8pm hour of Wild Grinders repeats (solidifying the show’s 7-day run at 8pm) and Robot and Monster also replaces previous OddParents repeats in the 11pm hour.

The likely reason for these changes, as with any channel’s sudden schedule changes, is likely due to lower ratings. Nicktoons has actually been down a good percent over the previous year despite the fact that the channel is actually in a few million more homes now than it was then.
