The Season 2 premiere of NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu scored as the #1 Telecast of the Day (Wednesday, July 20) among kids 2-11, boys 2-11, boys 6-11 and boys 9-14. It also ranked #1 in it time period among kids 6-11 & kids 9-14.
NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu (Wednesday, July 18, 8 p.m.) secured more than 2.8 million total viewers ages 2+.
The second season premiere of NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu dramatically increased average ratings & delivery—by double and triple digits—vs. its original Season 1 premiere, the same time period last year (ranging between 124% and 184%), the previous four weeks (between 114% and 154%) and all competitive programming (Disney Channel and Nickelodeon) in the time period (between 14% and 506%).
Highlights of NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu’s Season 2 premiere performance, compared to its Season 1 premiere (Jan. 11, 2012), include the following:
- Kids 2-11 delivery (2,008,000) increased by 32%, and ratings (4.9) by 32%
- Kids 6-11 delivery (1,473,000) increased by 27%, and ratings (6.0) by 28%
- Kids 9-14 delivery (937,000) increased by 18%, and ratings (3.9) by 18%
- Boys 2-11 delivery (1,600,000) increased by 37%, and ratings (7.6) by 36%
- Boys 6-11 delivery (1,236,000) increased by 36%, and ratings (9.9) by 38%
- Boy 9-14 delivery (763,000) increased by 18%, and ratings (6.2) by 17%
- Total Viewers 2+ delivery (2,836,000) increased by 30%
Cartoon Network ranked as the #1 television network on July 18 among kids 2-11 and all boy demos.
The NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu season two premiere built upon its 7:30 p.m. telecast lead in—an encore of NINJAGO’s season one episodes that ran from 1-8 p.m.—across all kids and boys demos, ranging between 39% and 52%.
Season one of NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu was the #1 program on Wednesday Nights (7-9p) with kids 2-11/6-11 and all key boys on all TV, while #1 with kids 9-14 on basic cable.
SYNOPSIS: Season two finds Sensei Wu and the Ninjas resuming their quest to stop Lord Garmadon from re-creating Ninjago in his own evil image. Kai, Jay, Zane and Cole continue to train Lloyd, the newly discovered Green Ninja, so his full potential as the greatest Ninja in all of Ninjago can become a reality. Lord Garmedon is relentless in his plot and pursuit against the Ninjas. The Ninjas seek constant guidance from Sensei Wu, who dispenses sage wisdom and insight, and Nya the Samurai also offers her expertise and help when the team is in need. With new adversaries on the rise the Ninjas know that once you set your sights on a goal you must never give up. By working together the Ninjas can secure peace in Ninjago – Ninjas Never Quit!
