Disney Channel: Total Day and Prime Highlights

During the week of April 2, 2012, Disney Channel ranked as cable TV’s #1 network in Total Day in  Total Viewers (1.59 million), and delivered a clean sweep as TV’s #1 network across all target kid demos, Kids 2-11 (937,000/2.3 rating), Kids 6-11 (617,000/2.5 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (488,000/2.0 rating), extending the network’s impressive winning streak to 43 consecutive weeks the 6-11 and 9-14 demos (dates back to June 13, 2011). Moreover, this marked Disney Channel’s 5th time in the previous 6 weeks to rank #1 in Kids 2-11, and the 4th time in the previous 5 weeks ranking as the #1 cable TV network in Total Viewers.

Disney Channel generated its largest competitive advantage over Nickelodeon in the network’s history in Kids 2-11 (+14% – 937,000 vs. 819,000), and exceeded the key competitor by double-digit percent margins for the 22nd consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (+34% – 617,000 vs. 459,000) and for the 24th consecutive week in Tweens 9-14 (+44% – 488,000 vs. 338,000).

  • In Prime, Disney Channel stood as cable TV’s #1 network on a weekly basis for the 359th consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (1.05 million/4.3 rating), or close to 7 years in the key demographic. In Tweens 9-14 (777,000/3.2 rating), the network posted its 94th straight #1 weekly ranking, and was #1 for the 356th time in the previous 359 weeks overall.
  • Disney Channel held the week’s Top 5 TV Telecasts in Kids 2-11:
