ALL-NEW COMEDY SERIES FRED: THE SHOW, STARRING INTERNET SENSATION LUCAS CRUIKSHANK AKA “FRED,” PREMIERES ON NICKELODEON MONDAY, FEB. 20, AT 8 P.M. (ET/PT)

Nickelodeon premieres its brand-new live-action comedy series, FRED: THE SHOW, created by and starring internet sensation Lucas Cruikshank, on Monday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), with back-to-back 11-minute episodes. FRED: THE SHOW follows the character on his latest hilarious adventures at home and in school. Following the premiere, the show will air regularly on Nickelodeon, Fridays at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) beginning Feb. 24.

Based on one of the most popular internet characters of all time, the short-form series builds on the network’s hugely successful Fred television movies, Fred: The Movie and Fred: Night of the Living Fred. The series is created and executive produced by Cruikshank. Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett of Varsity Pictures and Gary Binkow and Evan Weiss of The Collective also serve as executive producers.

In the first half of the premiere, “Evil Fred Part 1,” several of Fred’s neighbors confront him after seeing him destroying their property. Fred declares his innocence but no one believes him. For Fred, there can only be one explanation – a portal to another dimension has opened up and an “evil” version of him is now creating havoc in the neighborhood. In the second half of the premiere, “Evil Fred Part 2,” Fred discovers that his nemesis, Kevin, is actually responsible for the mischief and crafts a plan to catch him in the act.
