- Nickelodeon’s New Preschool Series “Bubble Guppies” Premieres January 24
January 10, 2011 | Bubble Guppies, Nickelodeon’s new interactive CG-animated preschool series, makes a splash on Monday, Jan. 24, at 11:00 a.m. (ET/PT). From the Emmy Award-winning team behind The Backyardigans and Little Bill, this musical comedy set in a vibrant 3D underwater environment follows a group of diverse preschoolers with colorful fish tails who go on adventures discovering their world. Following the Jan. 24 premiere, Nickelodeon will air two weeks of brand-new episodes from Tuesday, Jan. 25 – Thursday, Jan. 27; and Monday, Jan. 31 – Thursday, Feb. 3, at 11:00 a.m. (ET/PT). The series will regularly air weekdays at 11:00 a.m. (ET/PT).
- George Takei Joins Cast of Nickelodeon’s “Supah Ninjas”
January 10, 2011 | George Takei joins the cast of Nickelodeon's brand-new live-action comedy series, Supah Ninjas, one of five original series premiering on Nickelodeon in early 2011. Comic book in tone and cinematic in style, the half-hour series follows three unsuspecting kids who are drafted into the secret world of crime-fighting after Mike Fukanaga, an average high school student, discovers he is descended from a long line of ninjas. He is helped along the way by the spirit of his recently deceased grandfather (Takei), who appears to him and the team of "Supah Ninjas" as an interactive hologram who offers guidance, wisdom and training. Picked up for 26 episodes, Nickelodeon will air a special preview of Supah Ninjas on Monday, January 17 at 9:00PM (ET/PT), following back-to-back premieres of the hit comedy series Victorious starring Victoria Justice.

January 5, 2011 | Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the licensing and merchandising arm of Cartoon Network, today announced a partnership with Rubies Costumes for its smash-hit action-adventure series, Generator Rex. The Generator Rex costume line will feature kids costumes based on hit characters from the top-rated Cartoon Network original series. Fans of the series can enjoy the ultimate role play experience, as they dress up as Rex or his evil counterpart Van Kleiss and reenact favorite moments from the series. January 5, 2011 | Charting solid gains with its first telecast of 2011, the Annie Award-nominated ADVENTURE TIME (Monday, 8 p.m.) earned respectable gains vs. the previous 2010 time period—kids 6-11 delivery (538,000) increased by 1%, kids 2-11 delivery (799,000) increased by 8%, and kids 9-14 delivery (372,000) increased by 4%. Similarly strong, boys 6-11 delivery (386,000) improved by 5%, boys 2-11 delivery (536,000) improved by 6% and boys 9-14 delivery (267,000) improved by 29%.
