- Viacom Invests in Rainbow Group, Producers of “Winx Club”
February 5, 2011 | Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B) today announced that it has acquired a minority interest in Rainbow Group, a privately-owned kids animation and consumer products company based in Italy. Rainbow produces animated television series and movies targeting children and it licenses merchandising rights based on its animation properties across a number of consumer products categories.

February 3, 2011 | Television's popular teen twins Zack and Cody, the longest running continuous characters on Disney Channel, are at the center of the comedy and adventure in the third iteration of their powerhouse "Suite Life" franchise, "The Suite Life Movie," premiering FRIDAY, MARCH 25 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) as part of the hugely successful Disney Channel Original Movie franchise. Reprising their series roles are Dylan Sprouse and Cole Sprouse, who also executive-produce the movie, Brenda Song (of the Golden Globe-winning and Academy Award-nominated film "The Social Network"), Debby Ryan, Matthew Timmons and Phill Lewis.

- Disney Channel Ratings Highlights for January 2011
February 1, 2011 | Boasting TV’s Top 10 scripted telecasts fronted my multiple telecasts of “Good Luck Charlie,” “Shake It Up” and “The Suite Life on Deck,” Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 9th consecutive month among Tweens 9-14 (549,000/2.3 rating), delivering its largest January audience on record in the target demo, as well as among Total Viewers (1.81 million) and Kids 6-11 (673,000/2.7 rating). Impressively, January 11 became the channel’s most-watched non-summer month in its history in the same key demographics. Year to year, Disney Channel posted solid double-digit percent gains in Kids 6-11 (+12% - 673,000 vs. 600,000) and Tweens 9-14 (+10% - 549,000 vs. 499,000).
