June 7, 2011 | Earning dramatic double-digit gains vs. the same week last year, Cartoon Network’s weekly early evening (7-9 p.m.) delivery increased between 30-40% across key kid demos: kids 6-11 delivery (623,000) increased by 34%, kids 2-11 delivery (917,000) increased by 30%, and kids 9-14 delivery (447,000) increased by 40%. In Total Day, kids 6-11 average delivery (396,000) grew by 7%, kids 2-11 delivery (594,000) grew by 2% and kids 9-14 delivery (303,000) grew by 10%.

June 7, 2011 | Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants drew 5 million total viewers with a Saturday morning premiere(June 4, 10 a.m. ET/PT), which ranks as basic cable’s top animated series telecast with total viewers and the number-one telecast with kids 2-11 for the week. The half-hour long new episode “Squidward’s School for Grown Ups”, averaged an 8.2/3.0 K2-11, 8.4/1.8 million K6-11, and 5.3/1.1 million T9-14.

June 7, 2011 | Nickelodeon heats up the summer with the epic launch of its newest live-action comedy series, Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, premiering Friday, July 1, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT), with a second brand-new episode airing at 8:30 p.m. The epic weekend continues with the premiere of two all-new episodes on Saturday, July 2 at 8p.m. (ET/PT) and Sunday, July 3, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The series, which will air regularly on Sundays at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT), centers on two lifelong best friends on a never-ending quest for awesomeness while dealing with everyday dilemmas. June 6, 2011 | Nickelodeon star and three-time NAACP Image Award winner Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP, Akeelah and the Bee, Madea's Family Reunion) has been cast in the network's brand-new original TV movie, Rags. The modern-day fairy tale, starring Palmer as Kadee Worth and Max Schneider (How to Rock) as Charlie Prince, began production in May in Vancouver. Set to premiere in 2012, Rags is a music-infused, modern twist on the classic Cinderella story set against the backdrop of New York City. Bille Woodruff (Honey, Beauty Shop) will direct, with original music produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins (American Idol, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé).
