- “SpongeBob’s Legends of Bikini Bottom” Premieres First Part on Facebook on January 27, Then TV January 28-29
January 20, 2011 | Nickelodeon, in a first for the network, presents "Legends of Bikini Bottom," an anthology of five all-new, deep-sea SpongeBob SquarePants tales, premiering online first on Facebook then on-air on Nick. Guest starring Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love) and Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy) "Legends of Bikini Bottom" kicks off with "Trenchbillies" (guest starring Sedaris) on the SpongeBob SquarePants Facebook page (www.facebook.com/spongebob) Thursday, Jan. 27, at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT). The next four stories – "Sponge-Cano", "The Main Drain", "The Monster Who Came to Bikini Bottom" and "Welcome to the Bikini Bottom Triangle" (guest starring Goodwin) – will premiere on Nickelodeon in an hour-long prime-time TV special on Friday, Jan. 28, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The anthology of all five tales, including the on-air premiere of "Trenchbillies", will air Saturday, Jan. 29, from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
- Sunday 1/16 Cable Ratings: A Good Night for Disney Channel
January 19, 2011 | We've reported multiple times now on Disney Channel's Sunday night ratings victories, but we now add one more bit of info: adults 18-49 - which were pretty good for cable standards. Especially a network targeted at kids. To bad for Disney that Hannah Montana is over and Suite Life on Deck is nearing an end (it has yet to be renewed for a fourth season). At least Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up are two freshman series with great ratings thus far.

January 19, 2011 | Airing the week’s Top 6 TV telecasts, including “The Suite Life on Deck’s” 3-part weekend ‘Twister’ bonanza, the No. 1 telecast ever of “Good Luck Charlie” and the series finale of “Hannah Montana,” Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 7th consecutive week among Tweens 9-14 (543,000/2.2 rating), outperforming No. 2 Nickelodeon by a significant 11% (490,000/2.0 rating).

January 19, 2011 | Across the third week of January 2011, Cartoon Network’s early evening Prime (7-9 p.m.) and Total Day delivery and ratings earned respectable gains across most kids demos vs. the same time period last year—average Prime kids 2-11 delivery (817,000) grew by 1% and ratings (2.0) were unchanged, while kids 9-14 delivery (397,000) grew by 11% and ratings (1.6) by 7%. In Total Day, kids 6-11 delivery (338,000) grew by 10% and ratings (1.4) by 17%, kids 2-11 delivery (524,000) grew by 3% and ratings (1.3) by 8%, and kids 9-14 delivery (248,000) grew by 18% and ratings (1.0) by 11%.
- New Installment of “Winter Next X” Premieres January 31 on Disney XD
January 19, 2011 | Four talented young athletes get the chance to learn from the pros in a new installment of "Winter Next X," part of the "Next X" series of action sports reality shows developed by Disney XD in association with ESPN. Professional Winter X Games athletes Sarah Burke and Danny Kass mentor the young competitors in their chosen sport to see which amateur will be named Winter Next X and have the opportunity to showcase his or her skills at Winter X Games 15. "Winter Next X" will premiere MONDAY, JANUARY 31 (4:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD with new episodes airing daily throughout the week, culminating in a 15-minute special chronicling the young athletes' quest for the title of "Winter Next X" which airs Monday, February 7 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT). - “Power Rangers Samurai” Premieres Monday, February 7 on Nickelodeon
January 12, 2011 | Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids, introduces a new generation of kids to the legendary Power Rangers franchise with the prime-time premiere of Power Rangers Samurai, on Monday, Feb. 7, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Combining comedy with action-filled storylines, the all-new half-hour series features a new cast of Rangers and never-before-seen villains, as well as high-octane action, martial arts and advanced special effects. From SCG Power Rangers LLC, an affiliate of Saban Brands, the long-running hit kids' TV phenomenon, now heading into its 19th season, is helmed by Haim Saban, who created and produced the original "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" series in 1993. Versus the previous four weeks, the network charted solid gains as well: kidss 6-11 delivery grew by 8% and ratings by 11%, kids 2-11 delivery grew by 5% and ratings by 6%, and kids 9-14 delivery (363,000) grew by 6% and ratings (1.5) by 7%.
