May 10, 2011 | During the week of May 2, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day among Tweens 9-14 (441,000/1.8 rating) for the 2nd straight week, and for the 21st time in the previous 23 weeks, and was also TV’s No. 1 network among Kids 6-11 (544,000/2.2 rating). Led by the series finale of “The Suite Life on Deck” and a special preview of upcoming original series “A.N.T. Farm,” Disney Channel delivered TV’s Top 3 telecasts in Kids 6-11 and the Top 4 TV telecasts in Tweens 9-14.

May 10, 2011 | Buoyed by the Tuesday night premiere of The Looney Tunes Show, Cartoon Network’s weekly early evening (7-9 p.m.) delivery and ratings grew across all kids demos vs. the same time period last year: kids 6-11 delivery (559,000) increased by 8% and ratings (2.3) by 10%, kids 2-11 delivery (849,000) increased by 9% and ratings (2.0) by 5%, and kids 9-14 delivery (382,000) increased by 11% and ratings (1.6) by 14%.

May 5, 2011 | Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) announced today that Judy McGrath is resigning from her position as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of its MTV Networks division. Ms. McGrath, who began her career with the company as a copywriter at MTV in 1981, was named Chairman and CEO of MTV Networks in July 2004. The company said that a successor would not be named.
