Original TV Movie starring Internet Sensation Fred Figglehorn Tops Basic Cable Top Program this Week with Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11

NEW YORK – Oct. 25, 2011 – Nickelodeon’s Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred original TV movie scared up 5.7 million total viewers for its Saturday primetime premiere (Oct. 22, 8 p.m. ET/PT). The TV movie ranks as this week’s number-one telecast for the week with key kid 6-11 and kid 2-11 demos, posting double-digit gains and averaging a 13.2/2.8 million K6-11 (+26%), 11.9/2.5 million T9-14 (+28%), and 9.2/3.2 million K2-11 (+12%).

Fred 2:Night of the Living Fred stars Lucas Cruikshank as Fred Figglehorn, one of the most popular internet characters of all time, and showcases Modern Family’s Ariel Winter as Talia, WWE’s John Cena as Fred’s dad and Victorious’ Daniella Monet as Bertha. The movie follows Fred Figglehorn after he discovers that his favorite music teacher has been replaced by a new instructor, Mr. Devlin (Seth Morris). Fred gets even more upset when he finds out that Kevin (Jake Weary), his arch enemy, is Mr. Devlin’s star pupil and just when he thinks it couldn’t get any worse, Mr. Devlin moves next door and begins dating his mom. After seeing his new neighbor bury something in his backyard, it dawns on Fred that Mr. Devlin is a vampire! Fred’s new mission is to convince the rest of the school of Devlin’s true identity.

Fueled by a solid ratings performance from Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred Nickelodeon closed the week as the top cable net with kids 2-11, outpacing its closest competitor by +8% with kids 2-11 and +16% with total viewers.
