One by one, they compete through the night, putting their own fairytale spin on infamous spine-tingling tales that everyone knows and loves! The last one to be scared Shrekless wins. Ghostbusters (1984)
Saturday, October 29 at 4:30 p.m. ET/PT
New York City has a problem: paranormal occurrences have been plaguing the city in increasing numbers and the only people who know this are three extraordinarily bright, slightly offbeat NYU parapsychologists who have lost their research grant. Forced out of academia, they start their own business. Doctors Venkman, Stantz and Spengler set up shop in an old firehouse and become Ghostbusters, trapping pesky ghosts, haunts and poltergeists for money. But even the spirit exterminators are severely tested when beautiful Dana Barrett and her weird neighbor become possessed by demons living in their building. Soon every spook in the city is loose and our heroes face their supreme challenge. Starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver.
Ghostbusters II (1989)
Saturday, October 29 at 7 p.m. ET/PT
They’re back! Four years removed from their previous adventures, the former Ghostbusters are under a restraining order and have fallen to hosting cult cable talk shows and entertaining at children’s birthday parties. Dana Barrett, having broken up with Venkman, had a baby with another man but the marriage dissolved. It is precisely eight-month-old Oscar, whose baby carriage mysteriously rolls off on its own, who prompts Dana to get in touch with the Ghostbusters to make a desperate plea for help. With a strange feeling about her co-worker – intense, quirky art restorer Janosz Poha – she realizes that the supernatural has once again invaded her life. Who’s she gonna call? Starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver.
The Addams Family (1991)
Sunday, October 30 at 5 p.m. ET/PT
When long-lost Uncle Fester reappears after 25 years in the Bermuda Triangle, Gomez and Morticia plan a celebration to wake the dead. But Wednesday barely has time to warm up her electric chair before Thing points out Fester’s uncommonly “normal” behavior. Could this Fester be a fake, part of an evil scheme to raid the Addams fortune? Starring Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia and Christopher Lloyd.
Addams Family Values (1993)
Sunday, October 30 at 7 p.m. ET/PT
It’s love at first fright when Gomez and Morticia welcome a new addition to the Addams household – Pubert, their soft, cuddly, mustachioed baby boy. As Fester falls hard for voluptuous nanny Debbie Jilinsky, Wednesday and Pugsley discover she’s a black-widow murderess who plans to add Fester to her collection of dead husbands. The family’s future grows even bleaker when the no-good nanny marries Fester and has the kids shipped off to summer camp. But Wednesday still has a Thing or two up her sleeve. Starring Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd and Joan Cusack.
