Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for September 12 – 18, 2011

Cartoon Network earned solid delivery gains (4-13%) in early evening (7-9 p.m.) for the third week of September 2011. Compared to the same time period last year, the network’s delivery of kids 6-11 (584,000) grew by 9%, while kids 2-11 (829,000) grew by 4% and kids 9-14 (427,000) grew by 13%.
Cartoon Network’s Tuesday night line-up of animated comedies (7-9 p.m.) ranked as television’s #1 destinations for boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14, earning between 38-55% growth across the board compared to the same time period last year. The Looney Tunes Show (8 p.m.) was the #1 telecast of the day among all key boy demos. Earning double and triple-digit delivery increases across targeted demos vs. the 2010 time period, the telecast’s delivery of kids 6-11 (774,000) grew by 108%, kids 2-11 (1,184,000) by 149%, kids 9-14 (573,000) by 96%, boys 6-11 (541,000) by 98%, boys 2-11 (768,000) by 118% and boys 9-14 (389,000) by 73%. Also on Tuesday, an encore presentation of The Amazing World of Gumball (8:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all boy demos, charting between 41% and 123% improvement across the board.
Cartoon Network’s overall Monday night (7-9 p.m.) ranked #1 on all television among boys 2-11 and 6-11. The episode premiere of Johnny Test ranked #1 in its time period on all television among boys 2-11, 6-11, 9-14, earning between 26% and 74% delivery increases over the 2010 time period. Similarly, The Amazing World of Gumball (7:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all boys demos, while Adventure Time (8 p.m.), Regular Show (8:15 p.m.) and MAD (8:30, 8:45 p.m.) all ranked #1 in their time periods among boys 2-11 and boys 6-11.
Wednesday night, Cartoon Network ranked as television’s #1 destination in early evening (7-9 p.m.) among boys 6-11 and boys 9-14. And Friday night (7-9 p.m.), Cartoon Network was television’s #1 destination among boys 9-14.
