Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for September 5 – 11, 2011

Cartoon Network’s Monday and Tuesday night’s line-up of animated comedies (7-9 p.m.) ranked as television’ s #1 destinations for boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14. Monday night’s across-the-board growth included 14% delivery gains among boys 2-11 (958,000), 16% among boys 6-11 (756,000) and 36% among boys 9-14%. Kids 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14 average delivery also increased between 8% and 27%. Tuesday night posted double and triple gains across all demos – kids 2-11 average delivery (1,281,000) jumped by 96%, kids 6-11 (936,000) by 108%, kids 9-14 (564,000) by 91%, and boys demo delivery between 85% and 93%.

Among the programming stand-outs, Adventure Time (Monday, 8 p.m.) stood at as the #1 telecast of the week on all television among boys 9-14, and ranked among the Top 5 series on cable among kids 9-14, boys 6-11 and boys 2-11. Scoring its highest episode delivery to date among all demos, the original animated series ranked #1 in its time period among all kid and boys demos. The strength of Adventure Time‘s record-setting performance – which attracted more than 3.3 million viewers 2+ – helped propel Cartoon Network’s Monday night to its best performance 2011-to-date among total viewers. The Looney Tunes Show (Tuesday, 8 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period on all television among kids 2-11, and boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14. The animated series grew by triple digits across ALL kids and boys demos vs. the same time period last year, ranging between 123% and 253%.

Wednesday night ranked as television’s #1 destination in Early Evening (7-9 p.m.) among boys 6-11. Original series Dude, What Would Happen (Wednesday, 8 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all boys.
