Disney XD Delivers its No. 1 Month on Record for the 2nd Straight Month

~Is Kids Growth Leader for the 4th Straight Month; Owns Longest Year-to-Year Streak

~Original Series “Kickin’ It,” ”Pair of Kings” and “Zeke and Luther” Hit Series Highs

July 2011 – Total Day

Lifted by the record setting performances of original series “Kickin’ It,” “Pair of Kings” and “Zeke and Luther,” for the second straight month Disney XD recorded its No. 1 month in the network’s history in Total Day across the board Total Viewers (403,000), Kids 6-14 (232,000), Boys 6-14 (139,000), Kids 6-11 (189,000), Boys 6-11 (114,000), Tweens 9-14 (149,000) and Boys 9-14 (88,000) – and, with double-digit percent gains, stood as the month’s year-to-year growth leader among all kid cable networks for the 4th consecutive month.

  • Disney XD grew by the greatest margins year over year across all kid demos, including Kids 6-14 (+58% – 232,000 vs. 147,000), Kids 6-11 (+62% – 189,000 vs. 117,000) and Tweens 9-14 (+62% – 141,000 vs. 92,000).
  • Disney XD has grown its Total Day audience year to year for 31 months in a row among Boys 6-14 and Boys 6-11 – the longest streak of its kind among all kid networks.
  • Disney XD at least doubled Nicktoons in Total Day among Kids 6-14 (104% – 232,000 vs. 114,000) and Kids 6-11 (115% – 189,000 vs. 88,000), and held the definitive edge among Boys 6-14 (70% – 139,000 vs. 82,000), Boys 6-11 (78% – 114,000 vs. 64,000), Tweens 9-14 (99% – 149,000 vs. 75,000) and Boys 9-14 (63% – 88,000 vs. 54,000).

July 2011 – Prime

Disney XD registered its No. 1 month of all time in Prime in Total Viewers (443,000), and delivered its No. 1 month on record for the second consecutive month among Kids 6-14 (255,000), Kids 6-11 (210,000), Boys 6-11 (127,000), Tweens 9-14 (163,000) and Boys 9-14 (97,000) — posting the biggest year-to-year increases of any kid-targeting network for the fourth month in a row.

Year over year, Disney XD grew by double-digit percentages across the board: Kids 6-14 (+45% – 255,000 vs. 176,000), Boys 6-14 (+28% – 152,000 vs. 119,000), Kids 6-11 (+48% – 210,000 vs. 142,000), Boys 6-11 (+34% – 127,000 vs. 95,000), Tweens 9-14 (+50% – 163,000 vs. 109,000) and Boys 9-14 (+33% – 97,000 vs. 73,000).

  • Disney XD continues to hold the longest growth streak of any cable network for kids, increasing its monthly audience year to year for the 31st consecutive month among Kids 6-11, and the 29th straight month among Boys 6-14 and Boys 6-11.
  • Disney XD again dominated Nicktoons in Prime, exceeding the key competitor across all key demos, including by 70% among Kids 6-14 (255,000 vs. 150,000), by 35% in Boys 6-14 (152,000 vs. 113,000), by 72% among Kids 6-11 (210,000 vs. 122,000), by 37% in Boys 6-11 (127,000 vs. 93,000), by 77% among Tweens 9-14 (163,000 vs. 92,000) and by 41% among Boys 9-14 (97,000 vs. 69,000).

Programming Highlights

  • Disney XD’s No. 1 original series to date, on July 25 Kickin’ Ithit series highs in Boys 6-14 (422,000/2.3 rating), Boys 6-11 (329,000/2.6 rating) and Boys 9-14 (291,000/2.3 rating) for the 2nd straight week, ranking as the network’s No. 1 original live-action telecast of all time in Boys 6-14, and No. 2 original live-action telecast ever in Boys 9-14.
    • Impressively, “Kickin’ It’s” 6/20, 7/25 and 7/18 telecasts are Disney XD’s Top 3 original live-action telecasts of all time in Tweens 9-14.
  • At 8 o’clock, “Pair of Kingsdelivered a Season 2-high performance among Boys 9-14 (229,000/1.8 rating), standing as the series’ No. 2 telecast on record.
  • At 9 o’clock on Monday, July 25, “Zeke and Lutheralso recorded a series high for the 2nd consecutive week in Boys 6-11 (294,000/2.3 rating), and was the series’ No. 2 telecast of all time in Total Viewers (769,000) and Kids 6-11 (469,000/1.9 rating). Moreover, “Zeke and Luther” powered Disney XD to its best numbers in the half hour ever in Boys 6-14 and Boys 6-11.
