Cartoon Network July 2011 Ratings Highlights

Cartoon Network’s Monday night (7-9 p.m.) stood out across all of July 2011 as the #1 TV destination for boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14. Earning delivery gains across the board vs. July last year, average kids 6-11 delivery (879,000) grew by 26%, kids 2-11 (1,163,000) grew by 9%, kids 9-14 (640,000) grew by 27%, boy 6-11 (666,000) grew by 35%, boys 2-11 (845,000) grew by 16% and boys 9-14 (484,000) grew by 34%. Cartoon Network original comedies The Amazing World of Gumball (7:30 p.m.), Adventure Time (8 p.m.), Regular Show (8:15) and MAD (8:30 p.m.) each ranked #1 in their timeslots on all television among boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14.

The Tuesday night line-up of animated comedies also ranked #1 for the night (7-9 p.m.) on all television across July 2011 among boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14. Scooby-Doo! Mystery, Inc. (7:30 p.m.), The Looney Tunes Show (8 p.m.) and The Amazing World of Gumball (8:30 p.m.) scored strong double-digit delivery gains across all kids and boys demos, ranging between 29% and 130%.

The one-hour premiere event of the new series, ThunderCats (Friday, July 29 at 8 p.m.), earned double-digit delivery growth over the prior year among kids and boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14 – average kids 6-11 delivery (635,000) grew by 22%, kids 2-11 (950,000) grew by 14% and kids 9-14 (484,000) grew by an impressive 98%.

Overall, Cartoon Network’s July 2011 performance charted double-digit growth in Early Evening (7-9 p.m.) – kids 6-11 average delivery (614,000) up by 40%, kids 2-11 (887,000) up by 31% and kids 9-14 (413,000) up by 36%. Total Day (6 a.m.-9 p.m.) also showed double-digit growth – kids 6-11 delivery (468,000) up by 16%, kids 2-11 (690,000) up by 11% and kids 9-14 (327,000) up by 14%.
