Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for June 13 – 19, 2011

Regularly winning Monday nights among all boys demos, Cartoon Network has now added key kids demos to its #1 TV destination claim for the night in early evening (7-9 p.m.).  Armed with a solid line-up of original animated shows, Cartoon Network ranked #1 for the night among kids 2-11, kids 6-11, boys 2-11, boys 6-11 and boys 9-14.  All demos scored remarkable double-digit gains compared to the same time period last year: kids 6-11 delivery (951,000) grew by 51%, kids 2-11 (1,346,000) by 68%, kids 9-14 (680,000) by 32%, boys 6-11 (692,000) by 45%, boys 2-11 (906,000) by 53% and boys 9-14 (507,000) by 23%.

Original animated comedy series punctuated Monday night—The Amazing World of Gumball (7:30 p.m.), Adventure Time (8 p.m.), Regular Show (8:15 p.m.), and MAD (8:30 p.m.)—ALL ranked #1 in their timeslots among kids 2-11, boys 6-11, boys 2-11 and boys 9-14.  The Season 5 premiere of Johnny Test (7 p.m.) also posted double and triple-digit increases across the board, and ranked #1 in its time period on all television among kids 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14, and boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14.  Among its highlights, kids 6-11 delivery (1,041,000) grew by 118%, kids 2-11 (1,483,000) grew by 134% and kids 9-14 (682,000) grew by 64%.

On Tuesday night, Cartoon Network again ranked #1 on all television (7-9 p.m.) among boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14, posting strong double and triple-digit gains across all kids and boys demos.  The Looney Tunes Show (8 p.m.) stood out as the #1 ranked show in its timeslot on all television among boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14.  Kids 6-11 delivery (847,000) grew by 25%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,087,000) grew by 7%, and kids 9-14 delivery (713,000) grew by 110%.

Across the entire third week of June ‘11, Cartoon Network’s weekly early evening (7-9 p.m.) and total day delivery performances earned mostly double-digit gains compared to the same time period last year across all kid demos.  In early evening, average kids 6-11 delivery (604,000) increased by 27%, kids 2-11 delivery (810,000) increased by 21%, and kids 9-14 delivery (437,000) increased by 29%.  In Total Day, kids 6-11 average delivery (443,000) grew by 16%, kids 2-11 delivery (628,000) grew by 12% and kids 9-14 delivery (314,000) grew by 8%.

Brand new episodes of Cartoon Network’s Wednesday night original live-action alternative series Dude, What Would Happen (8 p.m.) and Destroy Build Destroy (8:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in their time periods among boys 6-11 and 9-14.
